Ubicado en el valle de Kiamichi, rodeado por las ondulantes colinas de la papa, el bosque nacional y la cercana montaña Buffalo, donde los ala delta pueden disfrutar del paisaje desde arriba, y quizás los visitantes menos aventureros puedan recorrer esta histórica casa de los Choctaws. Esta cabaña de piedra restaurada está ubicada en el centro de The Talimena Trail, muchos lagos, festivales, restaurantes y tiendas. La cabaña de un dormitorio, decorada con antigüedades y un tema de la naturaleza, puede dormir 4 usando el sofá cama tamaño queen que tiene un colchón personalizado y un adorno de espuma viscoelástica. El baño de lujo tiene una bañera de hidromasaje y una ducha de efecto lluvia, está equipado con lujosas toallas y accesorios decadentes. Very adorable place. It was clean and had all the things we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking necessities. The space was cozy. Wish we had time to use the hot tub. We will stay there if we visit Talahina again.

From the first moment I arrived I felt a serene and peaceful presence. Jan was welcoming and so was Macaroni. I felt at home and had everything I needed. I was less than 5 minutes away from where I worked. Very comfortable bed. I loved the hot tub and jacuzzi batch tub. I will stay there again when I am in Talahina

The cottage was very cute. They did an excellent job of decorating for the effect. Everything was very clean and stocked with the essentials that we needed. The bed was super comfortable. The hosts were easy to reach when a question arose and took care of the issue immediately. Would highly recommend.

This is just what we wanted…quiet time away. Such a perfect little restored home…cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the private hot tub also. We will definitely stay again on our next trip if available.

To begin, the property itself has a lot of potential. It is just not currently in any condition to take tenants. The sink in the kitchen does not work properly, and water went all over the floor from underneath the cabinet, so that is not usable. The hot water does not work. There has not been hot water during our stay. The biggest issue is that there are 3 pit bulls that are on the property. 2 are collared, but one is not. 1 is definitely not friendly and has been at the door barking and growling. We have had to wait in the truck to try to even get into the home on multiple occasions. The back patio has been unusable due to the dogs. This could be a great property, but it needs attention. We were looking for a place to rent consistently since we just bought property in town, but with the lack of security and safety with pit bulls being aggressive as well as the home itself needing work, this has been ‘less than positive.’ It is actually so bad we are leaving a night early.

Last minute booking for Husband and I, we had a chance to get away for a couple of days and took advantage of it, very relaxing, well equipped, we had everything we possibly could need there. The house was beautifully updated, very relaxing with a wonderful hot tub, It was just what we needed.

Needed a homebase for a long weekend of motorcycle riding and this was prefect. Pictures do not do this place justice, much more charming in person. Although other houses close by they were not a problem. Had everything we needed and then some. Although we never received any communication online. one very nice phone call got everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

We arrived late on a a Friday night as we were driving from Fort Worth after work. This cottage is in a very small town and there are no street lights so it was challenging finding the house even with directions. ( no fault of the host) That being said, this is a sweet little cottage for a quiet getaway. Since it was still hot during the day we didn’t sit outside on the deck. I think this would be beautiful in spring or fall. We drove the Talimena scenic byway & drove to Queen Whilhelmina Stare Park. It is beautiful there with many wildflowers Lunch there was delightful! The cottage had a well stocked kitchen w full size refrigerator. We brought food to take w us on our daytrip, which was very convenient.. we found the bed to be a little hard /firm. The air conditioning was great! It would be a great place to hang out w a good book on the deck after a scenic drive and lunch out & about. This is a restored vintage structure so it is a little quirky and will not be like staying in a modern, sanitized hotel. I would be happy to stay again if the host put a memory foam topper on the bed. A nice little place for a country getaway.
