No phone in room to communicate with reception. Nothing in the immediate area outside the hotel other than a 10 minute? very steep hill to port isaac. There was nowhere to sit and relax out of the heat other than the bar.”

“It's a breath of fresh air to travel to accomodation and arrive early and to be offered afternoon tea whilst waiting for our room to be available. “Very comfortable room, nice clean bathroom. The walls are a bit thin though so we could hear other neighbours, although everyone was asleep at night so no problem to sleep at all. The location of the hotel is great, it is a bit out of the town, in the middle of the valley. The garden is amazing and you can walk to the well a bit far down and to the town itself. The breakfast was very generous and varied.”

Thew room was spacious , tasteful and well equipped. The bed was a large and the duvet large enough for 2 people which isn't always the case. “The staff were all incredibly cheery and helpful. The food was excellent (coleslaw to die for!). The local beer, Hicks, was a good temperature. Fantastically cheap breakfast of anything! Dogs welcome in any room. England World Cup game was televised but the supporters were put in a large TV room away from the residents.”
