Subject: Formal Complaint and Request for further Compensation – Blue Apartments Tamarindo StayWe are writing to formally express our serious concerns regarding our stay at Blue Apartments in Tamarindo.The issues we experienced during our stay were not minor inconveniences and should not be characterized as such. This was not simply a matter of a pipe becoming disconnected. As previously stated, we experienced two separate incidents in the middle of the night when the water tank pipe disconnected, creating a loud bang that sounded like a shotgun being fired. These incidents were extremely alarming and upsetting.After the second occurrence, we contacted the host and were instructed to unplug the power under the sink, despite the area being completely soaked with water both under the sink and across the kitchen floor. This placed us in a potentially unsafe situation. Our concerns about these incidents appeared to be dismissed when we were told that “these things happen,” and no apology or acknowledgement of the seriousness of the situation was offered.In addition to the water tank issue, there were several other problems with the unit. The television cable service functioned only intermittently because the cable wire was damaged and would not remain connected. Rather than addressing the issue, we were simply told to use other features on the television.Even more concerning was the fact that we were unable to properly use our toilet for approximately eight days of our stay.
