Palm paradise cabana near the beach

We spent 4 nights at a Cabana near the beach. Had some bad luck with weather as it rained 2 days and the ocean was stormy. Nice secluded beaches near the cabana and friendly people.

The rooms were very clean and nice. We were very warmly welcomed and the staff was always friendly and very helpful. Very tasty breakfast. Highly recommended. The beach was very close. Everything here was beautiful in nature. A whole cabanna to yourself with many things to use.

A beautiful property especially if you take the Villas, the beach is public but it was the best beach for our young children to swim in. The food provided at the public beach is some of the best we had.

Swimming pool is very small. You can’t swim before 9:00 Am and is closed 6:00 Pm. Breakfast cold including cold coffee. Staff don’t understand what you want on breakfast. Very bad hairdryer and a lot of gaps between roofing and walls. Doors difficult to lock. Reception very helpful, young boys who work here also very helpful. Beach very nice but raf

The villa accommodations here are fantastic - spacious and beautifully designed. The cabana we stayed in the first night felt dark and a little run down. But, when we asked to upgrade, the staff were very accommodating and offered us a fair price to do so. Overall, a good stay. Thank you!

Very nice resort in the nature - a lot of palm trees, nice pool, beach close. Unfortunatelly the breakfast in the restaurant was very poor, every day the same. Did not like the cofee. Long waiting for the dinner ordered from the menu. I don ´t reccomend eating at the beach.

Great location

The hotel was in a lovely area right round the corner of the beach. Breakfast was amazing! Afternoon tea is served at 4pm and is a nice extra.

Hotellet byder på nogle meget meget dejlige udenomsarealer. Man bor nærmest i en stor park, som er velholdt og ryddet konstant. Grunden ligger to minutters gang til stranden og to minutters gang til swimmingpool. Stranden er helt vidunderlig. Kæmpe bølger, men man kommer hurtig ud hvor man ikke kan bunde.Restauranten, der hører til Cabanas, hvor vi boede, er absolut ikke særlig god. Morgenmaden var enkel og ok. Men aftensmaden var under alt kritik. Vi spiste der to aftener, og det er fortryd vi i den grad Til gengæld var restauranten ved swimmingpoolen rigtig, rigtig god, så det kan vi anbefale at man benytter sig af. Cabanas jeg er hyggelige, og simpelt indrettede. Der er ikke aircondition men to blæser. Det hele er af ældre dato, men funktionelt. Vi kunne dog have ønsket os en elkedel på værelset. Den kunne vi så få, fordi vi var heldige, der var kun to til hele komplekset. Det er et kompleks, der sætter meget stor pris på at bevare miljøet, og Det fremgår i fleres henseender.

We loved our stay here! The Cabana villas are just gorgeous, and super spacious! The breakfast and hotel staff were also lovely and the close proximately of the beach was ideal. My only negative was only booking one night.

Absolutely fantastic!

We stayed in one of the Villas at Palm Paradise and really loved it. The hotel exceeded our expectations. I was a bit worried before booking that it wasn't right in the centre of tangalle but after staying here I would definitely stay again. It has a really lovely beach just below the hotel which is probably one of the nicest beaches I've been to. Also a Tuk tuk to the restaurants works out at under 2 GBP. Other than that, the room was really incredible and the grounds are lovely. It was a really relaxing place to stay.

Zwischen Vila und Cabanas liegen kleine Welten. Komfort und modernes wohnen in den Vilas, eher gediegen, alternativ und rustikal erscheinen die Cabanas! Das Personal für uns, wir bewohnten eine Vila, war immer sehr freundlich und umsorgend. Zum Frühstücken dürften wir direkt am Pool im Pavillon lukullisch verwöhnt werden. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt in einer traumhaft schönen Anlage mit direktem ebenfalls tollem Strand.

Secluded beach and amazing pool

These cabanas are incredible! Was lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. The pool area was also a highlight, beautiful clear water and plenty of sun lounges. The breakfast was also delicious. The town was a fair walk from the cabanas but work it to have your own secluded beach.

Beautiful place but not a lot of sleep!

A lovely tropical complex right by Goyambokka beach, the pool and ocean are close by and the cabana itself was simple, rustic & eco-friendly (you may get the odd bug or gecko joining you though!) The restaurant food & breakfast are ok but staff are attentive and want you to have a good stay. The issue was that we hardly slept because our cabana was so close to the rough waves of the ocean this time of year, is probably fine in high season though. A true Sri Lankan experience but try and request a cabana away from the sea if you can!

Great rustic cabins right by the beach.

We stayed at Palm Paradise for two nights but really could have stayed way longer. The cabin was simple but totally adequate ( interesting shower heating system!!! ) within a short walk of both the beach and their amazing swimming pool/cafe complex. We did'nt go anywhere or do anything - just stayed in the complex enjoying the beach, the pool and the cabin. Having a great restaurant on site made everything so easy. We loved it.

Godt familievenligt hotel med pool og ved stranden

Vi boede på hotellet i seks nætter med vores to børn på 6 og 9, da andre havde givet stedet fine anbefalinger. Vi boede i "Family Villa with Attick", som er absolut anbefalelsesværdigt. Gode senge, fint badeværelse, køleskab, sofa og lille bord, dejligt lyst og rummeligt. Der er god plads mellem villaerne og cabanas, så man oplever at have lidt privatliv. Stedet ligger ved stranden og der er stier ned til stranden flere steder på hotellet. Stranden er fin, og man kan godt bade i havet. Vi syntes det var lidt for vildt til at bade der med to børn. Swimmingpoolen er også fin. Den er trekantet, dvs den lave ende er ikke så stor, men der er faktisk god mulighed for at svømme i den. Der er to restauranter på hotellet. Vi benyttede hovedsagligt den ved poolen, som lavede lækker mad, men også lidt dyrt. Den anden restaurant ligger ved receptionen. Den laver også fin mad og er lidt billigere. Vi oplevede personalet som meget hjælpsomt og opmærksomt. Stedet var pænt og velholdt, og der var også gartnere til at gå og sørge for at udenomsarealerne så pæne ud. På stranden findes også små spisesteder, som serverer frokost og aftensmad. Det vi prøvede var i orden. Vi tog en tuk-tuk ind til Tangalle by (ca 10 min) og fandt også gode spisesteder derinde. Vi havde booket hotellet lang tid i forvejen som afslutning på 12 dages rundrejse på øen. For os (voksne) blev det lidt ensformigt at bo samme sted i seks nætter.

The location of this tropical paradise is great and the gardens are lovely but the cabanas are beyond basic and way too overpriced compared to everywhere else we have stayed in the last 3 weeks on our trip in Sri Lanka

Needs improvement

We arrived by TukTuk & no one came out to greet us or help with luggage. The lobby/office was deplorable with guests huddling in chairs using wifi. The property has a gem location but needs a stylish upgrade, serious landscaping upgrades, A/C in beach bungalows & the layout is off. The restaurant should be closer to the sea with views over that beautiful beach. Hope they can rectify this property as it has such great potential!!!!

Very rustic experience, right by the beach

Pros Clean Right by the beach Food at the restaurant was decent Cons Quite basic Need a car to go in and out. Nothing much else to do except laze by the beach. One night stay will be enough.
