A Hidden Gem on Corso Umberto
We stayed in Taormina for three nights and couldn’t have picked a better location. The house is right at the start of Corso Umberto, so you step outside straight into the town’s lively centre. Perfect for exploring on foot. The property is spacious, beautifully renovated, and full of eclectic character. There is a lovely private courtyard with jasmine and lemon trees, ideal for outdoor breakfasts in cooler months. While one bedroom overlooks Corso Umberto, the house does not offer sweeping views, so it is worth managing expectations if that is a priority. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable, with a great balance of old charm and modern touches. Driving in Taormina can be difficult, but our host Luca helped us arrange valet parking which made everything much easier.Luca was fantastic throughout. Responsive, thoughtful, and full of local tips. He helped us arrange a birthday surprise and shared suggestions for the next leg of our trip.We would happily stay again, either here or in one of Luca’s other properties. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well located, characterful stay with warm and attentive hosting.
