“This venue is immaculately maintained, the staff are exceptionally friendly , polite and easy to deal with during your stay. The property has an onsite restaurant and the breakfast menu is great value and a very good serving. I would highly recommend this venue for anyone needing a nice, relaxing stopover from touring Tasmania and it is very close to Burnie Wynyard airport for a quick 1 hour flight home to Melbourne without all the hussle and bustle of normal airports. 10/10 rating which I...

“The Barclay surprised us. An older style Motor Inn with lots of room, very comfortable bed, little kitchenette and great shower. We liked the position to the waterfront and the lovely helpful staff. Indoor pool is great. Would stay here again. ”

“A basic room, but very clean and maintained. However, there was a problem with the shower having no facilities for putting in shampoo, soap, etc., and only one cake of soap was provided for a two-night stay. Also, we booked and paid for a deluxe, downstairs room, but were upstairs, which made it very difficult for my wife, who has mobility problems. The stairwell closest to the restaurant did not have a working light, which was a problem once the night arrived”

“We stayed in the Ironstone room, which was large, homely and had a great view of Cradle Mountain. It was easy to check in and very friendly staff. We booked the tomahawk steak dinner and it did not disappoint! The light breakfast consists of Muesli and yoghurt which was also a nice start to the day. We would highly recommend staying here and wish we had longer!”
