Lovely cottage. The hosts, Eric and Fiona, were absolutely wonderful.The house was well-equipped, very clean, and comfortable.I would definitely recommend it and we would stay here again.

Lovely stay in North Somerset / Exmoor

We had a lovely time staying at Jacob's Pond. Check in was really easy and Eric and Fiona had kindly left us some tasty treats to have when we arrived.The house was warm and comfortable. We all slept well. The kitchen has everything you need. The gardens were beautifully kept. We walked in the wood at the back and saw the chickens. We watched beautiful sunsets over the hills and the sea from the back windows. It was wonderfully tranquil. We loved walking in Exmoor and the Quantocks. We visited Dunster Castle and Coleridge's house as well. We had a thoroughly nice time and would recommend staying here.

Relaxing stay at Jacobs Pond

We wanted a quiet place to relax for a few weeks with the family and Jacobs Pond did not disappoint! Lots to see and do in and around the area. Owners extremely helpful. Highly recommend!

Wonderful holiday week

We spent a wonderful holiday week in this lovely cottage. On arrival everything was very well prepared and all very clean. The view from the kitchen into the garden is amazing. This cottage gives you all you need to relax. Very silent. It‘s very good host for discovering Exmoor NP and the Quantock Hills. Thank you so much Fiona and Eric for this pleasant stay.

Beautiful rural location, wonderfully equipped cottage

We were looking for somewhere really quiet to spend time after Christmas and this really fitted the bill. Weather was terrible so we didn't make the most of the close proximity of Exmoor and the Quantocks, but the cottage is cosy and very well equipped, so we had a great rest in a lovely setting. We are a 3 generation family and this worked well for everyone. Plenty of communal space to spread out into, good central heating and a beautifully kept garden. Downstairs bedroom and bathroom perfect for our 89 year old Father. Eric and Fiona the hosts are incredibly accommodating and thoughtful and we definitely recommend this place. It's a bit of a way along single-track lanes from the closest shops, but we came prepared for that. Lovely to visit Watchet and Dunster Castle. We would like to come back and explore the countryside in better weather!

Beautiful and Peaceful Stay

My Wife, children and I loved the stay at Jacobs Pond. The location is wonderful and we loved waking up in the morning and looking out on the fantastic views across the fields. The house itself is very well equipped and spotless, loved the fresh eggs and other treats left behind for us, very thoughtful thank you, Eric. We will look to stay again in the future.

wonderful cottage

Beautiful cottage with beautiful surroundings. Very spacious and comfortable. Great garden for sitting in and reading, or enjoying a barbecue and good wine, Lovely hosts, who made sure we were happy and enjoying our stay.

The property was excellent on all accounts

It allowed us to have a super holiday, it was central to much of Exmoor as well as being quite near to the sea. The owners were very helpful. The cottage full filled all our expectatons and met all our needs

Somersets best kept secret

Arrived at Jacobs Pond Cottage to be greeted by Eric who very thoughtfully & to our surprise left a few goodies - Wine, eggs, milk, biscuits, scones & fresh flowers - a lovely touch. We had a really enjoyable week with weather conditions just perfect for our pre-planned walks. One walk which is a MUST is to Tarr Step, beautiful. Lovely week at what we consider to be the Best Kept Secret in Somerset - Jacobs Pond Cottage ( Although Eric doesn't want it kept a secret!!)

The property is lovely and the owner Eric is brilliant on our arrival we had a bottle of wine, cake and eggs. It’s in a good area and in all our stay was great.
