The apartment was outstanding. Everything you would need was there. Sunny, clean,spacious and a lovely balcony to enjoy your wine. Although it is in the Oceanside Resort and twin towers it is managed separately (thank god). The owner was lovely, communicated immediately and instructions were excellent. Absolute bonus not having to deal with reception as they are extremely rude and have no people skills. Bus and hot pools across the road, a 2 min walk to both Mount Maunganui and Pilot Bay beaches and cafes and restaurants right outside the door. Book with this private owner, you won’t regret it.

we had a nice stay but very disappointed that we were not made aware that the sauna and pool were out of order at the moment - which was the main reason to stay there.....

Really great property, plenty of room, great location and very simple check in procedure, very clean with large lounge and kitchen, only negative is the boy racer noise passing late at night.

I was very satisfied with my stay it had everything i needed and better then i was expecting. Very clean the bed was comfortable the location was perfect the veiw was looking straight at Mauao maunga beautiful. Hot pools and the massage at the hot pools was amazing the small walk accoss the road to the beach and shops are all there. I hope this place is available next time i head back there.. intructions were easy and the price was fair considering it was also the weekend.

The apartment was in a good location, and had plenty of space for our family of four. Beds were comfortable, and the place was well equipped. Great communication from the property owners.

The property was in a great location for access to restaurants, shopping, beaches, Mount Maunganui etc. The beautiful beaches were 1/2 block away on 2 sides. We had a full view of Mount Maunganui and from our balcony, we had a peek a boo view of the ocean. The condo was across the street from the base of Mount Maunganui which had a wonderful gentle walking trail around the base as well as a more difficult trail to the top. The condo was VERY clean & spacious. The King size bed was very comfortable. There were black out drapes for sleeping. If you kept your windows open, there is some street noise for light sleepers, but it didn’t bother me. We didn’t use A/C. There was free laundry available in the building. Free parking spot underground. Our hosts were very friendly & helpful. We were very happy with our accommodation and would highly recommend it.

Perfect location for a perfect vacation

I am 47 (f) I took my disabled mother (72) on a once in a life time trip to visit my daughter, her bf and his family who are from NZ. Let me say This place was absolutely fantastic! Host had every amenity and not just 1 garbage bag , dish soap or 1 roll of toilet paper like in the USA. In the US you rent you have to go to the store that day to get basic supplies. This unit had everything I could have asked for and more! Did I mention the location and the stunning views! Right across the street is the amazing hot pools, the famous mountain with sheep that we loved watching from our window. The beach is out the door to the right and across the street less than a min walk. Such a nice beach and Shelly beach right off the mountain blew my mind. I have never seen such beautiful shells anywhere in the world. The king size bed was comfy and the pull out couch was slept in as well. No complaints at all. If I ever go back to NZ I will be staying in this unit! Just an fyi we ate at a local restaurant that was across from the beach, delicious but pricey. Fish and chips was around $40 NZ currency and a cheeseburger was about the same. Our meal was 2 fish meals and 2 burger and fries the total $160 NZ .The following day we went to the little restaurant attached to the harbor club. Hamburger and fries were $8 total and fish and chips (fries) $15 we had so much fish in 1 meal we had left overs. Plus the food was excellent.

Great property in a fab location

A good sized one bedroom apartment in a really convenient location. Super easy to walk to things and not have to worry about parking and traffic which is so much worse at the mount these days. A good experience utterly tainted by being abused by the owner upon checkout in the basement carpark. We were aggressively approached at our vehicle and accused of being dishonest and “cheating the system” in relation to our 2 year old who was in attendance with us. Upon review I may have omitted to specify she was with us and therefore be charged the minimal additional amount. If this was the case it was certainly an honest mistake made by a heavily pregnant guest trying to make a booking for a couple of days away with family before baby’s arrival. I would be more than happy for the error to be brought to my attention in a polite manner and I would rectify the mistake. The manner in which this was dealt with was nothing short of aggressive and rude and accusing. Further, she then insinuated that a 2 year old would cause wear and tear on property and as she would have found upon inspecting the property we left it absolutely fine. On this basis I would not recommend this property. Also - traffic noise is very loud at all hours from the apartment so bear that in mind.
