Excellent with 1 caveat…this place needs dedicated dock access to the water. Luckily, the locals helped us figure it out. Beyond that, the property allowed a comfortable, enjoyable stay offering full amenities with no detail forgotten for three families (6 adults and 7 children with room to spare). I would absolutely advise this for any large family vacation seeking an escape from busy lives.

Weekend getaway.

We rented this cabin for the weekend just to celebrate a birthday and a graduation. The cabin was great. It was extremely clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. We will definitely stay again.

Lake Norris Family Vacation

Our entire family (age 5-72) loved our time at the Elk Lodge. The size of the house was perfect for each of us to have our own bedroom/bathroom and space for family meals, game time and evening bonfire. The house is also conveniently located near the marina - we rented a boat for the duration of our stay. House was clean and kitchen well stocked. Our only complaint was that with a house that size and the number of people there was not enough trash cans, nor was the trash picked up at any point during our stay.

Inaccurate & Disappointing

We booked this cabin based on the listing title stating that there was a dock. We were staying at another house on the lake through VRBO M-Th and decided to extend our trip through the weekend....F -Sunday. After booking, we identified that there was not a dock. I notified the management company that there listing was inaccurate and misleading. Their response was we could dock at the marina and offered a $150 discount. We went to the Marina and they said we could dock at one of the temporary uncovered areas but it was at our own risk as boats tend to get "bumped" there a lot. I would not say this is a suitable solution to their misleading listing. The check-in went fine but they would not let us in a minute before 4pm so plan accordingly--an early check-in is unlikely. The information provided in the cabin was limited. The hot tub was locked and they do not provide information to unlock it. I had to reach out for the code and there was not a quick turnaround in communication. The wifi connection was extremely poor. Not a huge deal if you know that going into it but my wife and I own a business and planned to work remotely. The views are nice but you are quite a distance from the water without any access. You will need to drive 10 min to the Marina to access the water. Overall, this stay was vastly different from the experience we had leading into this one. Both comparable houses at comparable price points. The stay prior had great communication, accurate information, and thoughtful touches throughout. You will not find that type of stay with this cabin. This building itself is nice but the host needs a lot of improvement. We were very disappointed and decided to leave a day early. There are way better options on Norris Lake.

Absolutely Wonderful Getaway!

My extended family had our first getaway in 2 years over Thanksgiving 2021 and we were blessed to find, book, and stay at Elk Lodge. It was my husband and I, daughter and 2 sons, son-in-law, and our 3 year old granddaughter. The house is huge and so well laid out. We had places to sit together to talk and play games as well as places to have space (when we needed it). The bedrooms are beautiful and the beds comfortable. We loved having a remote for the fan and light. The stone showers are gorgeous, but there are also tubs downstairs where we could give the 3 year old a bath. We loved the kitchen. The layout allowed us space to walk all around, not get stuck trying to pass someone (really helped Thanksgiving Day!). The fire pit is so well made and we introduced the 3 year old to Smores--big fan! The views and colors of the sunsets are not to be missed, and can be seen from every floor. We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful Place with insufficient lighting and internet service

I loved the wonderful home and overall we enjoyed our time there. I had trouble seeing in the bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor which was extra difficult for me and my disabled spouse. Also the fitted sheet popped off most nights. Some of our party left early due to the lack of internet bandwidth. One son-in-law had planned to continue to work and was unable to do so. Also, all of my teenagers were disappointed with the lack of internet access. Overall, we enjoyed the home.

Great Place For Your Family Reunion

There was lots to love with this Tennessee cabin, from its wrap-around porches to its pool room with wet bar and game tables we wonderful time and would be happy to go back. My family really enjoyed the hot tub Aand being able to use the smoker to smoke ribs and brisket. The one thing we wish it did have and it may have been being built while we were there is a dock for lake access. That would have been great we would spend a lot more time on the water but thats really the only thing I can think of that's negative about this trip I mean the phone signals not great but what do you expect your in the mountains. Oh also just a heads up Tennessee is a dry state so pick up your booze in Kentucky before you cross the border! Hope you enjoy your trip like we did!
