Go early and get your ticket. Be sure to request the passenger ferry. It is more comfortable and takes less time. Be sure to save yourself time, money and trouble by requesting and purchasing the passenger ferry round trip ticket which means you will have to plan your return ahead of time. Be clear with the ticket agent that you want the Passenger ferry. That said, we also took the cargo ferry and did just fine. It was cold and we watched the Passenger ferry pass us. Bon Voyage!
