“The first thing I noticed was how clean and well put together the property was. Inside the cabin was spotless, making me feel like I was the first person to ever stay in it. The cabin was stocked with the essentials, just as listed. The lake access is about half a mile from the cabin. There is a Walmart near by, a few fast food and restaurant stops, and some cute antique stores in town. My only "complaint" is the neighborhood is a little run down with older homes and some (looked to be vacant)...

“My family and our good friends stayed 2 nights at the Coulter Farmstead. The farm is so nice and it was fun to explore! They have a really cute mini Highland bull and a small herd of mini cattle. There are also goats, 2 pigs, chickens, dogs and cats. It was really nice to drink coffee on the porch in the mornings and watch the animals. The proprietors are very nice and attentive. It was a very nice quiet place to relax. There is also a creek on their property. I wished we could have stayed one...

“Dog-Trot Cabins are my favorite homes. This was my first time getting to stay in one and it did not disappoint. The property is beautiful and all the animals around are spectacular and the owner is very funny and super friendly. We also opted for the hearty breakfast, served to us in our cabin, and it was delicious! If we find ourselves passing through in the future, we would definitely stay here again. Thank you!!”

“Stayed here for a wedding, the cabin was nice and clean. The pictures are accurate. Host was wonderful with communication. The only down side is the proximity to Highway 82 there is traffic noise most of the night. Over all would stay here again. ”

“We loved everything about this cute little cabin. It had everything we needed for our short stay here. My husband did some fishing and we both enjoyed sitting out by the fire ring.
