The historical significance of this property is reason alone to visit. George Washington's great grandfather established a plantation there in 1642. While original buildings were burned, the owners have restored according to drawings and records. There's a cemetery on property with graves from 1600s. Attention to service was outstanding and personal.

Our unit was fairly clean, but the bathrooms definitely needed some attention. Also, the toilets were very low and the bathroom is very small. Bathtub was extremely slippery. The two bedroom unit was spacious and we had a place to hang out with the other couple we were traveling with and also eat in our unit. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub although the chlorine was a little strong and the pool was not heated as stated. The activities were definitely underwhelming. Overall, it was a convenient location and a good amount to do but property definitely needs to be updated.
