“The hotel is an old one that needs some maintenance and updating. Rooms are small and as others have mentioned one can hear complete conversations of your neighbors. On the plus side, the staff were friendly, and helpful, the food was great and it is located within walking distance to the Summit and Main Range trek. It is the only hotel open in the summer season in Charlotte Pass. All in all I would stay again. ”

“The property was exactly as advertised and contained everything we needed for our stay. The location was very convenient -only 15 mins out of Jindabyne and less than half an hour to Kosciuszko NP. The tiny house was surrounded by bushland and farmland, and there was plenty of wildlife spotting. Craig was welcoming and accommodating, and his thoughtfulness in establishing the accommodation is evident. I would definitely recommend Big Yard Escapes as a peaceful getaway from the city or the grind. ”

“Loved the whole place the husband and wife do a great job! The brekki was simple but great and was good to sit and eat with fellow guests and discuss our days plus the communal lounge and kitchen was so comfortable and quaint. ”

“The house is located in a nice, quiet, suburban part of jindy. The configuration of the house allows for a comfortable stay for a large family. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you would want in a holiday home. The photos do not serve justice to the house, the backyard and patio area and view of lake jindabyne is amazing to wake up to.”

“Great place in a fabulous location.Remember to bring coffee for the excellent coffee machine. There is no WiFi nor access to Free to Air or streaming Apps so BYO and bring some games for the kids.”

“We absolutely had a wonderful stay. Location was brilliant!! However, I was bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the property. I found it hard to believe that the place had been cleaned earlier that same day. That is what the correspondence I received stated would be happening. There were dead flies on most window ledges & on the floor. There were biscuit crumbs on the coffee table, pet hair all over the rug and the bbq was extremely dirty! Lovely stay! Beautiful property!! “Modern clean and we loved the fire place that dried clothes quickly from the washing machine in the cabin. We wished we’d had some tongs for food prep, however everything else was there that we needed for cooking. Great size fridge but a small dishwasher which is understandable and needs to be stacked back to front. A good walk into town that hugs the lake as you do. TVs in every room. We enjoyed our stay safe and secure. ”
