  • #Shinjuku #Tokyo #Japan #alley The famous piss alley or Omoide Yokocho in Shinjuku, Tokyo. By day it's just another narrow alleyway common in Tokyo, but at night the street turns into a mini nightlife area for the salarymen of Tokyo. With numerous tiny #bar lining up, the nickname comes from the fact in the past so many drunk salarymen doing their "bussiness" there because there's no toilet anywhere in this alleyway. Today, regulation has been set in the area so it is a lot cleaner than before. The alleyway is very narrow and can only fit at maximum 2 people at a time so be mindful of your surrounding when visiting especially when there's many drunk people walking by from the bars. The bars are also very tiny and can only fit less than 10 people at a time. If you are not claustrophobic give them a try, it's a special experience on its own :)

The hospitality of the host was the best of all the vacation homes I’ve stayed in. Everything was well prepared before I moved in, and whenever I needed help, the host was available and responsive. The place was very clean. The kitchen had all the tools needed to make a basic meal, although there’s probably no need to cook since it’s located in such a convenient area. The vacation home is right on the main street of Koreatown. A 7-Eleven is just a one-minute walk away. There are many restaurants to choose from, and the Yamanote Line Shin Okubo station is less than a five-minute walk. It’s also about a 15-minute walk to the Godzilla Head in Kabukicho. Since it’s in such a convenient location, you can expect some noise at night, but it was totally bearable by my standards. Bottom line: I will definitely stay here again when I visit Tokyo with a big group.
Walking distance to Yamanote line train station.
Korean food and other restaurants within walking distance.
The place has a washer-dryer machine. No need to find coin laundry.

I stayed here for one week with my family and thoroughly enjoyed it! Shockingly spacious for how little square footage and we all fit comfortably. The location was great- a short walk from shin-okubo station making it great for exploring Tokyo. Additionally, there were many shops (even a small Don Quixote) and restaurants nearby that were also fun to explore. Would stay here again.

This property was well located for our crew of teens and adults. It was close to food stalls, restaurants, grocery and several different train lines. We were able to navigate in and out easily with close access to Shibuya, Shinjuku and lots and lots of shopping. Two full bathrooms were great for our group of 6. Property manager Asami was very responsive and able to work well with airline to help recover our lost luggage. This apartment is located in a very busy nightlife space, but kids/adults had fun. Excellent value. If you book, please pay close attention to the access documents, apartment is accessed only by elevator from alleyway.

The location is a 2-min walk to Shin Okubo Station, in Koreatown. There are so many food options, from restaurants to a 7/11. It is very clean and we had enough room for our family of 6. The host was very helpful, prompt and responsive. I highly recommend and will gladly go back.

Asami was very prompt to respond to us, even when there was a significant time zone difference before we arrived in Japan. The unit was very clean and comfortable with easy access to public transportation. The washing machine was handy to have with plenty of space and hangers to hang dry everything. Her photos were super helpful in locating the unit. The guide book provided had lots of useful information too. We stayed with our three adult children and it was comfortable, although we did not cook or eat in at all, there is a nice dining space but no living room unless you don’t need all three bedrooms.

What a great apartment. We loved it all. The showers were great! If was a spacious apartment for a family of four. All questions were answered promptly. The location to the train station was the best! And of course we enjoyed the 7 Eleven that was right across the street.

Location, location, location -- just one train stop away from our friends @ Shinjuku Station. There's was a typical-sized hotel room w/ bed occupying most of room's footprint. Not Asami's place. I was in the spacious master suite w/ 2nd daybed, w/ my own lavatory & bathroom. Guys occupied the secondary bedrooms -- one w/ 2 futons side by side; the other w/ a full-sized bed. They shared the other lavatory & bathroom. Seating area easily fit the 3 of us. Would be tight for the 8 allowed. Kitchen was adequately equipped, but we didn't bother cooking. Just used kitchen for making miso soup & tea. Unit is very clean, quiet (though facing the main Koreatown street), and decorated -- felt like home! Communication w/ Asami was always clear & timely. Would stay here again the next time I'm in Tokyo! Just a 5-min walk to Train Station.

Great location, just a few minutes walk to the nearest JR station and one stop from Shinjuku station. Within a few blocks, there are a few convenient stores. The property is very clean and well-equipped with everything we need. We stayed two nights there on Monday and Tuesday, and liked it so much that we decided to stay again on Thursday and Friday after returning from Mt. Fuji. The host is wonderful, she gave us a great introduction packet before our arrival with detailed instructions of how to get there. With her instructions, we found the property without any issues. Additionally, she is flexible when we skipped one night while visiting Mt Fuji. To top the whole experience, we found an authentic Japanese cuisine restaurant nearby (without even an English menu) and had the best food during our whole trip. Highly recommend the property.

Our host was amazing! She gave very thorough picture directions on how to find her place, but I was not able to access the link when we got off the train. Screen shot before you go! She came and found us in the rain and brought us to her apartment and then came back with a few supplies from the market to get us started! We stayed for 4 nights and the house was the best accommodation we had in all of our 2 weeks in Japan! Comfortable beds, kitchen amenities, 2 full baths. Perfect for our family of 5. Thank you Asami!

Wonderful 3-Bedroom Apartment!

This apartment is described as a "room", but it is actually a 3-bedroom apartment that contains everything one could hope for! The location is fantastic (use the google map that the host sends for directions) and the host is incredibly responsive and helpful! We enjoyed this gem of an apartment immensely! By the way, although the apartment is only a two-minute walk from the train station, and feet from a main street, it was completely quiet!

Great Spot

Perfect accommodations. Close to train and roomy. It is on a noisy street but once inside it is quiet. Convenient stores close by. Try RED’s for some Korean chicken and cheese fondue. It was excellent.

Great location to two train stations

This flat is close to multiple train stations making it easy to get to various locations in and around Tokyo. The flat is on a busy street but was quiet by 10 and not a problem. Several grocery stores near by and a bunch of food stalls and restaurants too.

Close to everything in Shin-Okubo

Loved the stay. The only issue we had was that if you have luggage there is not a lot of room to place it while taking off your shoes. It is a little tight at the entrance, but the location makes up for it.

Shinjuku apartment

A clean apartment with everything you need that is located very close to the train station. The tatami room is a bonus that our teenage boys loved. The host was very helpful throughout the booking process and during our stay. Only downside was that the location was quite busy and noisy, however, once inside the apartment, the noise was not a problem. Highly recommend this apartment. Thanks Asami!

Highly convenient

The apartment was conveniently located on the Yamanote line just one stop out of Shinjuku. It was clean with three bedrooms, two baths, a fully stocked kitchen and a pleasant dining area where we had a number of family meals followed by extended conversations. It was my wife’s and my return to Tokyo where our two grown daughters still live for the first time since Covid, so these were precious to us.

Excellent house near Shin-Okuba Station

A great place to stay, close to a railway station and in the busy Korean area of Tokyo. The house was great, although a little short on cutlery. Nevertheless we cooked full meals for 6 people. Highly recommended.
