“My brother’s car was one of at least 3 cars to have its window broken and car broken into in the parking lot this week alone. Other hotels in the area have security guards in their parking lots. This hotel doesn’t. Other hotels have signs to alert you that St. John’s has a high rate of car break ins. This hotel doesn’t. Staff went to clean the glass before my brother even found out his window was broken. The police came as there was blood on his vehicle and around the ground near it. And they...

“The room was very clean other than they have carpet and I never feel like carpet is really clean. The lobby and hotel inside were very clean and well kept. However the outside could be made to look abit nicer. The one thing that I felt could have been better is having security near the main front door to try to keep the homeless people from begging to guests at the front door. It made me feel uncomfortable around the hotel grounds. But again I understand there isn’t much that can be done about...

“For starters there was no hot water available in the room, either in the sink or the shower. The fridge did not work, and the phone in the room had no cable, so was not functional. At breakfast the restaurant was understaffed with servers who appeared not to know their job. We informed staff we were in a hurry but did not get drinks for 30 mins, and our breakfast arrived after 50 minutes, just as we had to leave.
