The English Riviera comprises three main towns which are Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. These sit around a large bay called Tor Bay.
The property itself is in the Wellswood area of Torquay which is just a five minute drive from Torquay town centre and harbour. Wellswood is a leafy residential area of Torquay and has at its heart what is often referred to as Wellswood Village. Here can be found a pub, restaurants, beauticians, a delicatessen, patisserie, convenience store, pharmacist, post office, newsagent and much more. The property is a five minute walk from these facilities and from key bus routes which give guests access to the whole of The English Riviera.
Slightly further afield are the regional cities of Exeter and Plymouth as well as the majestic and brooding Dartmoor National Park. To the west of The English Riviera lies the beautiful areas known as the South Hams with beaiutful towns such as Salcombe, Dartmouth and Totnes.
This apartment is located on the ground floor of the grand Victorian villa that has been converted into holiday apartments.
It features a bedroom that can be configured as a super king (UK size 6ft width bed) or else split into two to form a twin. The bedroom has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Rose Garden at the side of the property. All bedding and towels are included in the rate and for guests staying more than seven nights we provide a complimentary linen and towel change. There is a wonderful modern bathroom which has an oversized shower and a very low step into it. In addition there is a kitchen which includes a stove, cooker, microwave and dishwasher.
Lastly is the main sitting room which has beautiful original plaster work, high ceilings, a large bay window and original working wooden shutters. There is a flat screen SMART TV which also has a built in DVD player as well as a dining area in the bay window overlooking the gardens at the rear of the property. There is free full fibre broadband WIFI.
The property is surrounded by nearly an acre of mature gardens which guests are welcome to use. In the summer outside furniture is provided for guests to enjoy.
At the front of the property there is a car park and each apartment is allocated a parking space. There is additional on road parking immediately outside the property. This is unrestricted. For guests with electric vehicles, there are two EV charging points in the car park.
The property is surrounded by mature sub tropical gardens which guests are free to use. In the summer months garden furniture is provided so that guests can enjoy this outside space.
