Tucked away in the heart of New Mexico’s Manzano Mountains, Pinetop Glamping Tent at Manzano Mountain Retreat offers a rare blend of rustic adventure and thoughtful comfort. Your private tent combines the charm of camping with the ease of a cozy hideaway. Outfitted with comfortable beds, fresh linens, heating and AC, and electrical outlets, it’s a space where you can drift off under the stars without giving up modern comforts. Life on the retreat moves with the rhythm of the land. Families love introducing their kids to our cheerful farm animals, from miniature donkeys and Highland cows to peacocks and ponies, while couples find quiet corners in the orchards or along forest trails. Adventurers set out on nearby hikes in the Cibola National Forest or explore the historic Quarai Ruins, while others prefer slow afternoons by the pool or curling up with a book by the firepit.

Food is part of the experience, too. On weekends, guests gather in our dining hall for a warm breakfast buffet, while weekday mornings bring fresh, made-to-order meals. For snacks, drinks, and grab-and-go items, our Mercantile is open daily. Every fall, our apple orchards come alive with harvest traditions, cider pressing, and donuts that keep guests coming back year after year.

Guests tell us they arrive feeling weighed down by daily routines and leave feeling lighter, more connected, and full of memories. Out of Towners stayed for a night

The people running the property were so nice and accommodating. We came on a very cold day where temperatures were around 25 F at night. They brought us electric space heaters for our tent and each bed had a heated mattress pad or blanket. They mentioned that the new bathrooms just opened. 4 full bathrooms that were heated and equipped with stand up showers, just a short walk from our tent. We didn't end up eating in the restaurant due to our timing of coming and going but it was nice that they had the option as there are no individual fire pits at each tent. We're from the Midwest so cooking over a fire is normal camping stuff for us. There were no other cooking options and there are no other restaurants/grocery stores around for about 30 minutes so if you had little kids, best to bring a lot of shelf stable snacks. We used our Keurig in the tent to make some instant oatmeal cups for breakfast and brought some ramen cups in case we needed a snack. The tent was just as pictured and was clean and comfortable. It was too cold for us to enjoy much of the property (apple orchard, ropes course) but it all looked like it would be beautiful in warmer months. Overall, a very nice stay and would highly recommend.
