Wonderful Stay ...Again!
This was our second time renting from Alice and the property is absolutely wonderful and the views are great. Fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms made for an easy stay. Enjoyed again!

Wonderful stay
My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay. The view was beautiful and we loved the fireplace and hot tub. The area was very peaceful and Townsend was a great close location to the park. Would live to return!

Perfect getaway weekend
We loved the peaceful side of the smokies. I have been countless times to gatlinburg and pigeon forge and this time we wanted a quiet, adults only weekend. It was wonderful! The cabin was very clean and organized. We loved the location that was private with a great view! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful cabin
The cabin was just as described. Everything was wonderful. The roads in the resort are steep as is the drive for the cabin. It rained our second and third day there so the road was slick but we made it to the cabin fine. The view is amazing and it is extremely quiet. We will stay again if we go back to that area.

The view and hot tub were great but when we arrived there was a bad odor causingmy wife to have trouble breathing. also there was no water on one of the days of our stay it got addressed later in the day

Ronald, we spoke with each other about this , my housekeeper mops with lemon scented pine sol and she had just finished cleaning when you came in, that was probably why it smelled so strong. When you called me about the water, I called Tuckalee water works and they had to turn it off for a couple of hours in resort.

Perfect everything
Wonderful location, facilities and condition. The cabin is exactly as described with comfy furnishings both inside and out. The kitchen has everything we needed to cook our meals and relax on the deck after full days of hiking and exploring . Clean and nicely decorated for fall. We’ve stayed here before and will come again- I would definitely recommend this cabin.

Fall Getaway
Liked the cabin, views are breathtaking. Secluded, but close enough to go to the fun, and actually a lot to do in Townsend away from the crowds. Owners very quick to respond if you have an issue, great to work with. Thank you so much for our Fall getaway. 😊

Perfect for anniversary celebration
Amazing view from deck and loft. Enjoyed hot tub and pool table. Apreciated full kitchen, washer/dryer, WiFi. Road and driveway were steeper than expected but our VW Golf did OK. Less intimidating each time we left and returned. We were anxious to get back to cabin each evening to relax and enjoy the view and amenities.

Perfect cozy getaway
The drive up the cabin could be a little intimidating at first but by day 2 it was nothing. The cabin itself was clean and cozy. Beautiful Mountain View, wonderful porch with rockers and swing and quiet. The bed was a tad noisy because of the mattress protector, but the amazing view to wake up made it worth it. Definitely a well cared for and nice place.

I am glad you got used to the drive . If you are not used to mountain driving it is intimating it was for me also when we first purchased it. And I am also glad you enjoyed your stay.

Best view from bedroom
Townsend is one of my favorite places to visit. I've stayed at many locations and each is wonderful in their own way. What made this cabin stand out was the beautiful mountain view from everywhere. One side of the cabin is an A frame window, you can see the mountains from the bed, the living room, and the porch. I loved waking up and seeing the sun rise. The cabin is clean and has all the essentials plus a billiards table and hot tub. It's close to everything but very private and quiet. Alice was pleasant and helpful. I hope to return!!

Top of Moutain
Really loved the view. Was an easy property to use. Would of appreciated more kitchen linens. Several of wine glasses would of been nice along with a dish drainer.

I always keep wine glasses up there, the guest before you must have broke them and did not let me know and my housekeeper did not mention it either. I am sorry.

Gorgeous views!
Great, quiet location. The views off the very large deck are super. I misunderstood the listing and didnt realize the second king bed was the pull out sofa, but our boys were fine. Hot tub was welcome after a long day of hiking. Driveway/roads in the resort are steep, definitely not for a low clearance vehicle, but our SUV was fine. Great home base for adventures!

Charming Cabin with Amazing View
This charming cabin met & exceeded our high expectations — set by the numerous great reviews. We found the cabin very clean and comfortable. The view was amazing and we spent a lot of time on the porch watching the fog roll in and out. It was very easy getting to the Park. We enjoyed our time and would highly recommend this property. Just a 2 night stay
Cabin was beautiful. Location was great. Lots of old items around the cabin giving it old timw rustic feel. Floors were beautiful. My wife absolutely loved it.

The perfect location
If your looking for a clean roomy cabin right between Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Cades Cove than you have found the place! Me and my husband were here for 5 nights and still didn’t have enough time to do everything we wanted. The view from the cabin is beautiful and the inside is spacious with everything you need. Our host was very friendly and she was wonderful with communication. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Family trip * Memorial Weekend *
Wind dancer was the perfect cabin for our family getaway. Everything was exactly as described in the description and the pictures looked the same as in person. The view was amazing from the porch. Alice was a great host and answered any questions we had during our stay. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a clean and comfortable place to relax.

Beautiful view!
This is the perfect getaway for us. So relaxing! Great space if you want to stay in and relax but also close enough to the surrounding attractions. Make sure to read about the driveway in the post. We struggled a little getting our car up the hill because it was wet, totally fine when the road was drive. Thanks!!

Amazing getaway!
The pictures do not do the view justice. It is absolutely beautiful. The cabin is super cute and cozy. Everything was perfect and clean! The property manager also gave us a very detailed direction list with heads up about the steepness of the drive. 10/10!!!

Great Views……….That’s About It
The cabin views are amazing. The cabin itself was not anything special. The bedspread had a large white stain on it, dirty dishes still in the dishwasher, dust everywhere in the cabin, the pool table is very dilapidated and missing a ball and the overall cleanliness was not up to par. I contacted the owner and her response was “Sorry”. She offered to bring a new bedspread on the 5th night of our stay. We ended up leaving a day early and the owner was notified. She didnt offer anything for the early check out or issues with the cabin. This is literally my only bad review ever left on any rental property. Luckily we were gone most days enjoying the area and didn’t spend a lot of time at the cabin. Very disappointing to say the least.

I am sorry that you were disappointed, but I offered to bring a bedspread up there when you told me about it and you said don't worry about it that you just wanted me to know about it. You said that it had a big spot in the middle of the spread, it did had a small spot on the bottom of the spread next to floor. I live 2hours plus from cabin but I still offered to bring it up there About the dust and dirty , this is the first i heard about it you didn't even mention that and you are the first that has said any thing about the cleanliness, because all my guest in the past has not had a problem like this And when you told me about a pool ball missing I ordered new ones and called you letting you know that I was going to bring it up there when it came in , you told me that your 12 year old son wanted to play pool, but you told me not to bring it up . My cleaning lady found it while cleaning after you left. And as for my not offering to give you money back when you left a day early, I did not tell you to leave

Christmas getaway
Amazing experience. Mrs. Alice was great and very quick in responding. Cabin was decorated beautifully for Christmas even though we had been told no Christmas decor. Imagine my surprise when we walked in to a lighted Christmas tree the day before Christmas Eve. Made my heart happy. The views were amazing. The cabin was very clean and as described. We will definitely stay again.

Loved our stay!
Me and my husband came for a mom/dad getaway and this cabin was just the thing for that. We enjoyed going to Cades Cove and seeing the wildlife. We also ordered pizza at the Social and took back to cabin for a relaxing night in! Definitely plan on coming back!

Beautiful view
We loved our stay. The cabin has a beautiful view and is very private. Rain falling on the tin roof, was an added bonus. The owners are great, and easy to work with. The only recommendations I would make for future renters would be to bring cassarole dishes and a pitcher, and drive a 4 wheel drive.

Truly wonderful view!
We’ve stayed in many cabins. The view was at least as good here as any other cabin we’ve stayed at. The past few years we’ve been staying in Townsend because it really is the quieter side, and this cabin is so close to all the restaurants. A beautiful 45 minute or so ride to either Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, so instead of being stuck in traffic for that long you can be enjoying the drive! And much closer to Cade’s Cove than you’d be either of those places. Come planning to enjoy the cabin - the privacy is wonderful, the views can’t be beat, the cabin is decorated with very interesting items, it was very clean and well maintained, the owners are very nice - you’ll love it!

Our new vacation getaway
My wife and I came here on vacation to get away from a very rough year. Having open heart surgery and other trying times we needed to get closer to God and nature and recharge our batteries. This place did just that. It is an amazing property with an amazing owner. Alice is great . You have an incrediable view,, a BEAUTIFUL cabin with everything you need. It is nestled away in the woods in the mountain . Very quiet and peaceful. The minute you walk in you feel so at home. You will never regret staying here. 5 stars all the way. Weather you are rekindling your marriage, or like us, resting from a trying year, you will feel such a peace. Please give the place a try. You will not regret. God bless everybody

The cabin felt very private in the middle of a cabin community. It could use a bit of remodeling & some small improvements to the kitchen supplies. The view is incredible, & we really enjoyed our stay.

Very nice cabin
Pleasant experience! Great communication with owner. Cabin was spotless. Only small thing I could not really complain but maybe just give advice to anyone renting. I probably would not plan a trip to this cabin in the winter months. Accessibility would be very difficult if it is snowy or icy.

Beautiful view
The cabin was clean and cozy with a great view of the mountains. The driveway up to the cabin was steep and scary for me but I'm a flat lander. The owners drove my friend up first with their car and after she seen it she was able to do it. The owners were very commodating .

Beautiful Cabin in the Woods!
The cabin was perfect for our July 4th wedding anniversary! Loved being on the “quiet side of the Smokys” and not too far from Gatlinburg. Be prepared to go up some steep hills getting to the cabin too!!

Smell and bad Decor
The smell of moth balls when you walked in will you knock you down. I’m not one that’s cares about decor. But when we went upstairs that decor was off, I like antiques but that was a bit much. Loved the view and everything else.

We do put moth balls outside around the cabin about 3 times a year just to help keep snakes away from the cabin, it is in the woods. The antiques up stairs, I thought severed the cabin well. What can I say I love antiques. Sorry you had such a miserable time. Alice
