“there was some construction activity on other side of lake that was a bit intrusive of the peacefulness; the one bathroom is attached to master bedroom, so that guest had to walk through master to use the toilet. (minor inconvenience); eating options were at quite a distance, since the grille at the closest marina is closed M&T. I would recommend making this obvious in the listing, but the view was wonderful and I spent the day reading on the porch, which was very relaxing.”

“Very clean, pleasant and comprehensive little house. Well stocked (the Keurig and K-cups were an appreciated extra). Suited my needs perfectly. Large yard was nice to have to look over sitting in the shade out back and pleasant to sit out front as well. Situation was very local Alabamish :-). 7 minutes to a great little 18 hole golf course -Cross Creek. Only 20 minutes to the shrine where I was at retreat. So coming home to this "cozy retreat home" was nice.”

“We gathered to celebrate my son’s 23rd birthday. We didn’t need 2 areas for cooking but having the extra space was nice. 3 refrigerators was a plus. It rained at some point on most days but had plenty of games or just chill and read a book. We used the paddle boards and played corn hole too. “We love staying at the lake house. It is perfect for my family and our second time to rent this property. The property's is conveniently located close to the interstate and nearby stores. We really enjoyed the porch and swimming from a nice swim deck. They have a great game room which was perfect for three preteens and 1 teenager. “We are a lake family and this was our first trip to Smith Lake. Heron's Haven is a wonderful place to stay. Very spacious and designed for large crowd comfort. Loved the large island, pantry storage, and ample seating for dining or lounging inside and out on the two porches. Delightful breeze and fabulous pier for boats and big kid toys. Decided Heron's Haven had everything when we found a sewing kit in the miscellaneous drawer to remove a splinter! Thanks Fiona and David for a wonderful week.”

“We loved the property. The home was very well done and recently renovated. The downstairs area had 2 pull out sofas with a huge TV with speakers everywhere which was great for the young adults.
