Stayed here for 3 nights. The place is very “classic”, like my grandmother decorated with a blank check, which is exactly what we wanted. That semi-touristy old Italian feel. If you’re a group of old ladies who like to play cards or a young couple looking to have a nice view to yourselves, it is a great choice.
Right between the least travelled-to of the center lake high speed shuttle docks and the very exclusive(hilariously expensive) Grand Hotel Tremezzo, you do get some peace and quiet as opposed to staying in heavy foot traffic areas like Bellagio or Menaggio. But that does come with at the cost of limited food options; which is cured by the ferry day pass. Theres really only 3 options within walking distance. Locanda next door is the best choice with great seafood spaghetti(the full seafood, not just the shrimp), and the bar down the road is a great place to watch football. Several old shops and restaurants are shut but in a positive light, it keeps other tourists away.
Solid 8/10
