“We loved it there!!! The mastery carpentry and design was a thrill to admire. It was quite and felt like home. If you need strong wifi this may not be the place for you. But the description says that. We loved it!!! The birds singing all day and it was well equipped to cook full meals!!”

“Property was clean outside of some carpet stains, slightly smelly sofa pillows and screens that didn't fir all of the way around. This is mainly a 4 bedroom apartment with the two lower units being long term rentals. One unit has a nice older lady (directly underneath) the other is a family with 3 young children who can be loud at times (crying etc) views not accurate on the site so we have added some truer ones. Beds should be updated except the single one. Views are really nice and it is close...

“While the room was clean, the two mattresses were appalling, seriously worn, slanted, and very squeaky. The shade was broken and water oozed up from the bathroom floor. The bed was pushed up against the heater and the curtains came down just above… total fire hazard. Even the microwave carousel was broken. The Lobby Computerized assistant that spoke with a very strong accent made my hearing impaired husband go bonkers. Just wow”

“Clean, quiet, and very private retreat in nice neighborhood, just a short distance from downtown Arcata, shops and restaurants. It was perfect as a base to explore the area from Eureka to Trinidad, with lots of opportunities to hike in the redwoods, birdwatch at the famous Arcata Marsh, and stroll/tidepool at the many beaches.”

“It was quiet and cozy. The owners were kind when I spoke with them. As was made clear there isn't AC so it did get a little warm over night in the room, but a few minutes with the door open cooled down quick. I would recommend a fan. However, would stay again.”
