This 2-bedroom cabin, tucked back into the high woods, is the perfect, secluded getaway for a couple or small family. Spend hours on the porch, taking in the view with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Or take advantage of one of the many natural attractions located nearby. These include kayaking or tubing on the New River, driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway, biking the Virginia Creeper Trail, or hiking at Grayson Highlands State Park. The Cabin is also a great hideaway for music enthusiasts hoping to take in old-time and bluegrass tunes along the Crooked Road, or at the Blue Ridge Music Center. Whether you choose to keep to yourself in the woods, or get out for one of the many available adventures, you will love staying at this quiet, cozy mountain gem!

The following are some additional details and policies for the Buck Mountain Cabin:
• Private 2 bedroom and 1 bath cabin in the mountains
• Open or covered porch with rockers for view of the mountains, valley, and woods
• Pleasant mountain drive to numerous natural attractions
• Great day trips include West Jefferson, Boone, Blowing Rock, Damascus, Abingdon, the New River, Grayson Highlands State Park, Appalachian Trial, Blue Ridge Music Center, Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Virginia Creeper Trail!

The Space
• Open living with room with large couch, rockers, and ceiling fan, open to kitchen.
• Back open deck includes 4 rockers and a 4-top glass table. Outdoor grill is also available, provided guests clean up after use.
• Side covered deck includes a swinging bench, two rockers, a bench, and bistro lights if desired
• Dining space with two benches and two chairs, up to 8 seats
• Kitchen is fully equipped with standard cooking pots and pans, cups, plates, and utensils.
• Coffee bar with Keurig and traditional coffee pot with creamers and sugars provided
• Bedroom 1: Full bed with dresser, couch, and ceiling fan
• Bedroom 2: Bunk room with two bunk beds: 1 Twin over Full, 1 Twin over Twin, with dresser, ceiling fan, oscillating fan, and clock with ambient sounds for sleepers who need it
• Up to 4 parking spaces for cars
• Satellite WiFi & SmartTV
• Game cupboard with games and puzzles
• Bed and bath linens provided
• We also provide enough hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, & trash bags to get you started upon arrival. However, if you are staying longer than a couple nights, please plan to supplement with your own supplies based on your personal needs.
• Summer/Winter Planning Notice: Cabin has furnace heat for all seasons. In colder months, driving conditions can be difficult depending on snow or ice conditions, so four wheel drive is recommended for such conditions. While spring and fall temperature conditions are usually ideal, cabin does not have A/C for warmer days. All windows and doors have screens for open mountain air flow. All rooms have ceiling fans, and additional box fans are available if desired for warmer days.

Pet Policy:
• $150 non-refundable pet fee. Max 2 dogs.
• Please message us for pet approval prior to booking.
• Pets MUST be added to your reservation during the booking process. Once added, the $150 pet fee is included as part of the nightly rate (spread out equally over the course of the stay) and in the total price at checkout.
• Pet fee is non-refundable.
• Limit is 2 dogs; no other animals permitted.
• Must pick up all droppings from pet(s).
• Dogs must be fully housebroken.
• Dogs are not permitted on furniture or linens.
• No cats allowed due to an allergy in the family.

House Rules:
• NO SMOKING. If anything is smoked inside, you will incur a $250 fee for deodorization treatment.
• Check-in time is 4:00PM and check out by 10:00AM. No parking on premises before check in time or after check out time. Unapproved late check outs may result in a $200 fee.
• Self check-in with keyless PIN code lock
• In order to avoid potential staining, please do NOT use bleach to clean anything during your stay. We have professional cleaners who will use bleach appropriately in between guests to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
• Do not burn incense, essential oils, or similar items. These scents are difficult to remove before the next guest checks in, and some guests may have sensitivity to smells.
• Guest must sign rental agreement.
• Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Fires:
• The cabin is located within a dense wooded area. Due to wildfire and liability risks, we do not permit open fires on the property.
• For liability reasons, we also do not permit use of the fireplace to burn wood. For guests who would like to enjoy the look of flickering flames during their stay, we have placed a fireplace candelabra in the hearth.

Permitted Outdoor Spaces and Trespassing
• While the Cabin is tucked away on 130 acres of secluded woods, guests are only permitted to use the Cabin, side and back yard spaces, and driveway area (the "Permitted Areas").
• In the future, we hope to be able to make other spaces on the property available for hiking and recreation. Presently, however, other spaces remain unavailable due to dangerous conditions which include, but are not limited to, fallen or falling trees, barbed wire, wild animals, steep slopes, holes, poisonous plants, and other hazards.
• For these reasons, guests may only utilize the Permitted Areas, and travel into other spaces is trespassing.
• Hunting of any type on the property is strictly forbidden.
