Absolutely wonderful
Tish’s is about details and they are EVERYWHERE! My wife and I giggled at all the signs, the random knickknacks and absolutely random design touches. Loved all of it. Will definitely stay here again.

Tranquility
It was soo quiet and so beautiful!!! Cabin was totally furnished with everything you could ask for and much more. Tish and Brian are super friendly and helpful. We felt we were in paradise!

Cozy cabin on the river
This was the second time I have stayed and both times the experience was very good. The space is setup to accommodate folks in a very friendly way. All your basic needs are met and more. I was in town for work and just enjoy a hassle free evening and not having to deal with a hotel.

I am surprised at your review. Our chats never let on about you being uncomfortable. You were so enthusiastic about the whole place, and disappointed you couldn't book it next year. Because it is already booked. In my review of you as a guest, I overlooked mentioning some of the issues, we dealt with, after your departure and it would be incorrect to speak to it now. Sorry you were uncomfortable. 4 stars, is very surprising after all the good you spoke with us about. Hmm, interesting.

Kootenai Get-Away
The cabin was wonderful. Yes it is small but very fun. Clean and cozy. The deck area was a perfect place to eat any meal, mostly our evening meal for us. The path and lawn chairs to/at the river is short and very relaxing. Our hosts walked us through the Yurt and Sauna as well as the rest of the grounds. If our future trips back to Troy area align with cabin availability, we very much would like to stay here again. no doubt about it.

Awesome stay on the Kootenai!
This property is so fun and we loved the cozy comfortable feel of the cabin. It was -4 the first night and we were warm and toasty all night, including the water. The river is right there and with so many things to do in the area, it was a perfect stay!

All things perfect
The Bunkhouse exceeded all my expectations. The attention to detail with furnishings, amenities and decor was an absolute delight. Once you walk through the gate you enter this absolutely lovely and secluded setting, inside and out. Beautiful rustic craftsmanship. I’d have been quite contented to just tuck in for the whole weekend and catch up on some quiet R&R, but we very much enjoyed some long walks on a road and bike path following the river, and around a neighboring park. The Bunkhouse had everything we needed to feel welcomed and comfortable. Loved the 80s records, games, comfy beds, pillows, colorful towels, sleeping loft with cool ladder, awesome ambience lighting, monkey coffee mugs. Everything. Thank you for your awesome Bunkhouse.

Well put together tiny home
It was a really wonderful experience being able to stay in this small house. It really allowed me and my wife and two little girls to have a relaxing comfy stay. The neighbors on both sides were a little closer than I thought they would be but there was a nice big wooden privacy fence between them so you could only see the tops of the roofs. Inside the house was private and quiet except for the occasional passing train, but that is a good distance away so it isn't very loud or shake the house at all just adds to the rural Montana experience. The beds were really comfortable!

A Magical Christmas Experience
The bunkhouse far exceeded our expectations and was the perfect little nest for an unconventional Christmas getaway weekend! It’s incredibly cozy and decorated so thoughtfully. We thoroughly enjoyed listening to records while making meals, having a fire on the deck, grilling and listening to the sound of the Kootenai literally right below the patio. Overall, an absolutely lovely experience. You can’t go wrong in booking this little gem!

Sweet & Serene
I picked Tish's place for my solo getaway this year and I am so glad I did. The Bunkhouse was the perfect size for me; she has every item one could need available in this small place! It is so peaceful right on the beautiful Kootenai River. The little town of Troy is a few blocks away for picking up food/supplies. The trains run through the area every so often and blast their horn, but I love the sound of trains...it may bother some folks though. The whole area is beautiful and Tish has put a lot of work and love into her property. There is a sauna, a warming yurt with movies and books to read, a little self-serve bar on the honor system if you want a cocktail, and bicycles to borrow. You don't want to canoe or swim on the river right there (too swift and shallow with slippery rocks), but there are swimming and fishing areas very close by. I just loved the whole feel of the place and hope I can get back there in the future. Tish is an exceptional host!

Nice Place For Short People
That is an overstatement, or understatement. But at 6'3", I didn't find any doorway I could go through without ducking, and found more than 7 places I could bang my head while just moving around. Note that I lived on a sailboat of 6 years, and am used to ducking, so I only hurt myself a few times. But this property should be listed as "Not for tall people".

Artistic Cozy Bunkhouse
We enjoyed celebrating our 41st Anniversary in this Rustic Bunkhouse. Everything we needed was available in the bunkhouse with lots of unique artistic cubby holes throughout. We loved the covered porch overlooking the Kootenai River. The Yurt Warming Hut was an additional blessing!

Truly a blessing!
What a blessing it was to stay at The Bunkhouse!! It had everything inside and out to make our 3rd wedding anniversary one we will never forget!! Tish did an amazing job taking care of everything!! What an amazing place, beautiful scenery on the river, and such a peaceful atmosphere!!! Highly recommend to anyone looking to get away for the weekend, or even for a week like us to reconnect and to spend quality time together!!! Thank you Tish...see you next year!!

Lovely place to stay
We love everything about this beautiful cabin. It was our 2nd time back and we look forward to going back. It’s cozy, perfect getaway from the city. Every detail inside and out the cabin was well thought out! It kept us warm while it was freezing outside...and provided us with everything we needed to cook and have delish meals, especially on the grill! Definitely going back!

Cutest little cabin on Kootanai River
Tish thought of absolutely every little detail. She really is a super-host! It was such a sweet little oasis and we really enjoyed our stay at her place. We built a little fire and sat out on the deck for hours, enjoying the river flowing behind and the nice cool, crisp air. I would definitely recommend this place!

Wonderful overnight stay
Great price and beautiful location on the river. Very clean bathroom and comfortable bed. Be aware you are very close to the neighboring cabins, but it's a quiet spot on the river.

Sorry you were surprised at the cabin setting. The pictures clearly depict the layout. There should not have been any surprises. I don't think attention needed to be called to this a negative. More and more of our guests are returning guests booking for long periods and some a year a head. It has never been an issue. Each cabin has complete privacy. Except maybe in the parking area or on the river bank. The river bank is public. But, most of the time it is occupied by deer, moose, duck and other wildlife. I certainly did not mislead anyone. But you do have to look at the pics and read the description of any Air BnB one rents, to ensure satisfaction. But, thank you for feedback.

Amazing Montana Getaway
This is our second time staying at Tish's cabins this year...once in summer...once in winter. No matter what the season this place is just amazing. The cabins are cozy and are equipped with everything you can possible think of. The hosts are great people and the Home Bar is a must visit for good food and drinks. We will be coming back.

2nd trip...there will be a third!!!
This was my second trip to The Bunkhouse, and was just as great as the first time I came! The bunkhouse was just as I remember, but now there is a beautiful new awning/cover over the patio with lovely wooden features. Had a great time around the “big” bonfire, as welll as the patio fire pit! Can’t wait to come back. Tish really has a cool place to visit!!

Perfect getaway!

If I could give a rating to my guests, these gentlemen would have a 5 star rating. They left the cabin in great shape after a 9 day stay. They are highly recommended to other hosts. Hope they return next year. Maybe for Elk!!! lol

Coolest little cabin
I really wasn't sure what I was going to be walking into once we got to Montana. But omg, this was one of the most coolest place on earth. I thought my wife was going to have a fit, being she was a city girl, but she loved it. Tish, you done well on making this little cabin so cozy. They had everything thing that you can imagine from toothbrush to eggs in your cabin. (You have to cook it of course). We had a lot of fun, with good people. Guys keep up the good work. Toothpicks- Lol.

Kirk and his wife were really nice. Kirk kept us laughing the entire time. We enjoyed having them as guests and I sure hope to see them again. They said I had all the amenities, except 1. Toothpicks! LOL. They will be there next time for you Kirk LOL!
