It would have been nice to enjoy a hot breakfast on the cold and gloomy morning that we were there, though. We enjoyed meeting our friendly host, Joe, and had a nice conversation with him as he explained the history of the property and some future kitchen renovations he has in the works. “The serve breakfast on weekends and we were staying over Sunday night and the owner offered bagels and cereal and allowed me to take a cup of milk for coffee the next morning. Always an easy check in and very quiet, friendly, and clean. It's better than any other place in the area!”

“Terry is a wonderful host and she prepares delicious breakfasts. The home is charming and it sits on a lake with a view of Mount Monadanock. There is a fridge stocked with soft drinks, wine and beer (complimentary). There is a TV room. Terry prepares a nice mid-afternoon snack. We think it is the best B & B.”

“Very well run hotel, conveniently located in the heart of Brattleboro. Free parking in a lot next to the hotel was a nice touch. My only gripe would be that my room (104) had no view as the windows were made of some kind of stained glass that you can't see through and couldn't open. Also they could not be closed all the way and allowed a cold draft to come through on a chilly night. I had to stuff towels in the open gaps to keep the chill out. A little strange I thought, but was manageable.”
