“Rooms where clean and well maintained. Sadly food was poor, we ate in the restaurant on the first evening, one meal was over cooked while my lamb was very chewey. Breakfast on day 2 was poor, they said it would be cooked to order but it looked and tasted like it had come from the buffet they had just cleared from a coach party. The staff were variable some abrupt and others went through the motions but werent enjoying their jobs??!”

“Really nice room. Bathroom was lovely (some hairs in sink when we arrived, but not that a big deal). There was a wedding on in the hotel, with music heard thumping in our room until quite late (we’re not killjoys, but it was impossible to sleep and very loud). It would have been good to know this when booking, as we would have looked elsewhere. Called down to ask reception and they were dismissive and a bit rude. Also loud music heard in room in the morning as well.”

“room was spotless ,hotel gardens where beautiful, dinner and breakfast was amazing.reason for 3 star rating was given due to reception staff not dealing with our complaint of having no hot water when showering before dinner and was not much better the following morning.”

“We just had one night here before catching the early ferry to Isle of Arran and it was perfect. Good location with allocated parking spot. Easy check in with clear instructions upfront. Well equipped room, nicely decorated and a comfortable bed. We had room 6 at the back, which was very quiet. Also convenient for eating out in town. Would recommend.”

“They never cleaned my room once and I was there for 7 days....I had to go ask for toilet paper and towels........some staff were nice others rather curt....I found the food awful only ate there 3 times that was enough for me did not like the fact you had to go up to the bar order food pay for before I sat down...........Now I have left a necklace there by mistake I have phoned my cousin in the same town and asked her to check with them in room 108 we will see if it has been had back to the...
