The hotel is located in an industrial area with no amenities. An abandoned shopping mall across the street and a Chinese restaurant which did not look inviting. Breakfast came in a paper bag with a granola bar, yogurt and a bottle of fake juice.

Thank you so much for staying with us. I am so sorry to hear that our hotel wasn't what you were looking for. Some of our area is industrial. Across the street was an old K-Mart that is being repurposed into another business. The Chinese restaurant has been going through a remodel process and was just recently painted so I am unsure how it did not look inviting. We are 1-2 mins (Depending on the traffic lights) away from multiple restaurants and stores in our Sand Springs area. We are 7-8 mins away from Down Town Tulsa. Our Grab and Go breakfast does include your choice of; yogurt (4 flavors), fruit (banana, peaches or oranges), muffins (chocolate, banana nut, blueberry), Juice (100% real Apple juice, 100% real Fruit Punch juice, 100% real Berry juice or 80% vitamin C Sunny D), granola bar and a bottle of water. I am sorry the breakfast wasn't up to your standards. Magnuson Hotels only require us to serve coffee but we try to offer more to help our guest get a little nourishment so they can start their day. We do hope that you have a great week ahead!

Staff are so nice and very helpful. We sold our Tulsa house and waiting to close on our Sand Springs home so this is our in between. We chose this hotel due to it having better reviews and ratings. They clean daily and they are so nice to my kids who want breakfast every day! Will come back when a hotel is needed. They are like family here! It’s quiet here and I love the parking and ease of access to our room. Thank you!

Thank you so much for staying with us. This review is a bit confusing. I see that you came to the hotel and booked into a room with one of my front desk agents. I see that you wanted a 2nd night and for that you booked online. If the room was as bad as you are claiming it to be then why would you book for a 2nd night? I wish you would have informed my staff about your problems when you reserved your 2nd night or when you spoke to housekeeping or even the multiple times you had walked by our front desk during your stay. We are unable to fix problems if guests do not let us know there are problems to be fixed. We would have gladly helped you in any way you needed. I talked to my housekeeper about your situation and she stated to me when she asked you about needing service for your room you declined and only took towels. She said that you seemed happy and didn't tell her you had any problems. If you had issues that would have been the perfect time to let someone know so we could have fixed them. She and I personally checked your room after you left this review and we did not find any of the issues you have mentioned. I am so sorry but I am going to go ahead and count this review as false. No evidence has been shown to support your claims. I hope you have a great rest of your week ahead.

Thank you so much for the review of our hotel. We take all guest comments very serious. We try to fix the problem as quick as possible so the next guest wont have the same issue. I am very sorry to hear that you had issues with your stay. Our white sheets on the beds are thin just like the majority of sheets are. I can agree that our blankets could be thicker than they are. I have brought this to attention and we are working on changing out our blankets. I would like to say that I do disagree with you on our rooms being rundown. Our rooms do have a bit of outdated pieces of furniture but they are very nice and clean. If you were this uncomfortable you could have came to the desk and we would have gladly helped you with more blankets, a different room, something to make your stay more enjoyable. I do know that you walked past our front desk many, many times during your 2 night stay. On your second night you walked past the front desk it least 5 different times. Each time you passed, you sourly looked at my front desk agent. She explained to me that when you came to the desk to get your room keys remade you were very short with her. You didn't seem friendly at all. So when she noticed you and your sour look she began to worry that you had a problem with her specifically. I explained to her she should have spoke to you about your sour look. This way we probably would have figured out that you were unhappy with your stay since you didn't want to say anything to us directly. No one should be scared to talk to hotel staff. We here at Magnuson are a very friendly bunch. We would have helped you any way we could have so there would have been no problems. I apologize for everything. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week!

Well it was a variety of things. First, the grab and go breakfast. We stayed for two nights and went to go get the grab and go breakfast. I asked about a few more yogurts and the front desk said that she had given us enough for 5 people (when she actually got us three). I have a little girl that is all she wanted was the yogurt but I felt both mornings that they thought I was trying to “steal” more items from the grab and go breakfast. They took my room number to verify I had five people. Second, the blankets on the bed were very thin. It was a sheet, a very thin blanket and then a very thin comforter. The shampoos and soaps were very cheep and watered down. We asked for extra towels and they were hesitant to give us more. The good things are there was a microwave and a refrigerator in the room. And when I asked for coffee in the afternoon (I thought the pot had some in it since it was already out) the counter person was willing to make some but I told her there was no need. I travel a lot and take mini vacations with the kids. It would have been nice to have some coupons that went along with the hotel to take the kids and help save money (since the hotel was $200) Just to help families out and advertise for businesses around the area. The staff was ok but I wouldn’t consider friendly. I just didn’t enjoy my time, I won’t be back. I guess it would be ok, for someone that just needed a nights rest but not for a family on vacation.

We appreciate each person that leaves us a review of our hotel because it helps us make our hotel better for the next guest. However this review is unfortunately false. I hate when people make false reviews of our hotel because it leaves a negative outlook on our hotel. Potential guest will read the review and decide to not stay with us based on a false narrative. We have a sign posted as you walk in that states our hotel has audio and video recording going on at all times. I was able to watch the cameras to find out if what you were saying in this review was in fact true or not. I do not understand what was wrong with our Grab-N-Go breakfast. Both days you came down to the desk for the breakfast, ME and my staff was very courteous to you. I was the one who asked you what room you were in. We take account of each room that comes and gets breakfast and how many people in the room get the breakfast so we are able to keep proper inventory. You were the one who stated how many people were in your room both days. You told me it was 2 adults and 3 kids, and my staff the day before that it was you, your husband and 3 kids. I watched as we both gave you an equal amount of items per each person in the room. This includes 1 juice, 1 water, 1 fruit, 1 granola bar, 1 muffin and 1 yogurt each day. You did request an extra yogurt if your daughter wanted one and my staff stated that she gave you enough for 5 people. We never felt you were trying to “steal” anything from us or felt that you had a problem with our breakfast. We just simply gave you what our Grab-N-Go consist of.I can agree that we need to upgrade our blankets. If you needed more blankets we would have gladly gave you some just like we did the towels. We were never hesitant to give you anything you needed for your room. You are the 1st complaint that I have received about our soap/shampoo being cheap and watered down. I believe we have quality soap and shampoo. I will be looking into this matter more.I do not know what “coupons” we could have given you. You do understand that we are not resort or high end hotel right? We are a small economy hotel that offers great affordable rates to people and families passing though. All of our staff here at the hotel is very friendly to all of our guests that stay with us and I am so sorry you felt we were not friendly to you. We did accommodate all of your needs and your room was very nice and clean when you checked in. I would also like to point out that you stated to me that you took off all of the linens on both beds and placed them in the tub. When housekeeping went to that room they realized it was because the beds had been peed in. Have a wonderful rest of your week ahead!

The manager is absolutely one of the best customer service persons I have ever met at any hotel facility. She was very kind, courteous, friendly, and happy. It was a real pleasure to be at a hotel with great, friendly people. The room had an odd odor that came from the airconditioner. We bought some frabrize and sprayed. It helped. The airconditioner may need cleaning. That is the only problem we had. Everything else was good.

The beds were SO hard!! I had to take some ibuprofen just so my bones wouldnt hurt so bad. Felt like one inch of padding over a hard board. If my husband had been there, he could not have stayed the night on that bed. Never again!

I checked your account and I didn't see where you talked to anyone about your problem. It is best to let the staff know that you have a problem so we can be able to address it quickly, especially if you saw a roach. Our maintenance team came in and moved everything around in that room and didn't find any roaches. I contacted our exterminator just in case and he came out and sprayed the room. Housekeeping has also been notified about the smell in the room. This is not a normal occurrence at our hotel and I do hope this doesn't detour you from staying with us again. Checked in about 11:00 PM. Thought I would turn on the TV to wind down some. The TV didn't work. I turned on the air conditioner and it seemed to work somewhat. Went ahead and went to bed around midnight. I went to sleep and sometime later a loud bang woke me. The air conditioner had stopped working. I went back to sleep and around 2:00 AM some loud talking and laughing from outside woke me. Then someone started revving their engine and playing loud music. This went on until I got up around 4:30, packed up my stuff and left. On my way out I told the night manager about the ruckus outside and he went out and told them to "hold it down a little". I said thanks but that I was leaving. As I was driving away the night manager was standing out front smoking a cigarette. I'm sure the party people were still going. Bad news for the other people who were trying to sleep. I'll never be back to this hotel.

Thank you so much for staying with us. I am very sorry to hear about all the problems you had with our hotel. This is a very uncommon occurrence. Did you let the staff at the desk know you had a problem with the AC and the TV? We would have gladly came to fix your TV or move you to a different room. Once you checked out of that room we rented it the following night to someone for a week and they have yet to come and say anything about the TV or the AC. I do see that you checked in on Saturday night. We had a really bad thunderstorm hit us that night. I watched the cameras to verify the commotion you mentioned at 2am. At 1:54am it was pouring rain and lightening hit the hotel, took out our camera system and much of our power until 5am. It must have been later in the morning when the people were being loud. My staff did say they spoke to someone outside about the noise and told them they needed to stop the noise. After that he did go check out the front side of the hotel and had a smoke. I am unsure why it is a problem for my staff to smoke outside. I am sorry to hear that you will not be back to our hotel. I hope you have a great week ahead. Again I am sorry for the troubles you had.

Good for the price
The staff was very friendly and the hotel was nice. It looked a little sketchy at first, but we didn’t have any issues. The bed was our only complaint, it was very uncomfortable. The Chinese restaurant next door was delicious.

Located right off the highway in Sand Springs just barely west of Tulsa, the Magnuson is an affordable, nice place to stay the night. Friendly staff at the check-in, clean room, nice TV, quiet floors, and easy parking. They also said there will be a grab and go breakfast in the morning, which was a pleasant surprise. My teenage son said this was much better than the EconoLodge we stayed at a few weeks ago in Kansas City. Thanks!

Modest hotel in a modest town but had availability when my original hotel canceled because they were overbooked. Front desk friendly, for a smoking hotel my non smoking room was surprisingly fresh, felt safe traveling alone in the hotel, clean sheets and hot shower. So for a quick overnight stay it was a good stay

Pool was out of order. Room was shabby and dirty. Literally dried noodles on the wall. We had a big storm come through. Tornado sirens, huge wind. Shattered windows and doors. The guy running the desk had no plan. He was clueless. No shelter.

Thank you so much for staying with us. I am sorry about our pool being out of order. We just remodeled it and we are waiting for the inspector to come and say we can open it. There was a tornado that came through our hotel. This isn't a normal occurrence for us and we do not have a shelter in place. It happened all within a 10-15 min time frame and there really wasn't time to do much. It is common sense to go into a bathroom or go into a hallway when there is tornadic weather. I did speak to my front desk agent regarding your stay and she explained to me that she needed to move you because the faucet in the tub wouldn't allow for the shower to turn on. She did check the room and noticed the noodle on the wall along with crushed up, uncooked noodles by the microwave. She did explain to me that the noodle on the wall was not dry and that the room did smell of recently cooked noodles. The noodles must have belonged to you. If it was from a previous guest the noodle would have been dried on the wall not wet. I am sorry you had so much trouble with us. Have a great rest of your week!

Nothing spectacularly.. arrival went smoothly but other then that not much to be impressed by. The rooms more specifically the bathroom has lots of damages probable due to the walk in shower not having something to contathe water from flooding the floor. I wouldn't want to pay this much again for this room. Kinda disappointing and nothing like the picture portrayed.

Thank you so much for staying with us. The walk-in shower is designed for people in wheelchairs or that are unable to step up in a traditional tub. Unfortunately it is a bit difficult to keep the water contained. I dont know if you needed a handicap room but we do have regular smoking rooms that are different. I believe that you would will like our other rooms. We hope this will not detour you from staying with us again. Please give us a chance to show you that we are better than what you saw during your stay. Have a great rest of your week.
