The host was very responsive and checked in regularly with me to see how things were going.
You can sit in the hot tub and watch the sun rise over the distant mountains. Very inspiring.

Definately not what was advertised

The modern style photos of the location are not accurate. Truth is we walked onto a rental that lacked cleanliness and has not been up kept in a while. The kitchen counters were dusty on the top edge of the sink, the floors were not properly swept with crumbs everywhere. They need to fire the current cleaning crew and hire a new one. Also, the hot tub Instructions thru a you tube video are not user friendly, someone should consider adding a binder with instructions. I specifically asked if the oven worked and was up to standard as my husband was suppose to bake me a Birthday Cake and the oven did not perform correctly. When yoi preheat it takes about 40 mins to reach 350 degrees farenheit and you need to add appx 10 extra minutes on top of the actial bake time for your mix to bake correctly

Beautiful property check-in process kind of a hassle

Visiting our son stationed at 29 Palms. The property was beautiful. House was super open and functional. The house was stocked with everything needed to make meals and everything else. We only needed to buy food. The check-in process was clunky with a lot of photo uploads for card and ID which actually caused us to check in late. I'll take some blame as since most communication happened on travel day and we were between flights and drive to the house. Overall we will/would stay at this property again. House was beautiful along with great views. And location to the Marine base.

Less than Impressive

We brought our 2 dogs for an extra 200. 2 acre property is not fenced and not well maintained. There is scrap metal, glass, and other debris just outside of the paved portions of the yard. Looks okay in photos, but not super guest friendly. Furnishings are too minimal. There is no where to just rest and relax. Not a book or board game in sight. One king bed was rickety and unsteady. That bedroom door also doesn’t latch. The light in one bathroom didn’t work. The first night we tried to turn the spa on with the provided directions and it wouldn’t heat up. We contacted support and were provided with the same instructions… still no spa to utilize. Finally, on day 2 after 2 local staff coming the spa worked! However, we didn’t realize it would come at the expense of hot water in the house. A cold shower in 45 degree weather…less than ideal. Had to contact support again and was provided instructions on how to restart the pilot for the water heater. I’m sorry, but these continued issues are not what I should be encountering on vacation. On the plus, kitchen is sufficiently stocked. Management was responsive and helpful. We decided to leave a night early from our 3-night stay. I wish we trusted the mediocre reviews and went with another option.

Great trip!

This house was great for our family of 4. We loved the hot tub at night after hiking during the day. The extra game room area was fun for our kids. Beds were comfy. A few extra towels would have been nice since we needed them for showering and the hot tub.

Quiet and close to JTNP

The house feels spacious. Everything worked. Great King mattress. Looking East at Sunset was a band of blue and pink — something we don’t get at home. I hope the home is available again when we return to the area.

Wanted to love this place but it was mediocre

I was skeptical about the bad reviews but after staying here, I understand the low ratings. The property was sparsely furnished and sparse on necessities like kitchen essentials and towels. It was also dirty. There was putrid, rotted pastry behind the toilet of the game room, there was a dead cockroach on a book we picked up to read. We definitely felt catfished as the property appear much nicer in pictures than IRL. Overall, the property lacked cleanliness and comfort. Perhaps it’s bc it’s run by a management company, it lacks any charm or personal touch. Word of advise - book with an owner/host - they seem to care more about putting personal touches, charm and character in their property.

Fantastic Spot in Joshua Tree

Beautiful, secluded home in the JT desert with views of the mountains and surrounding valley. Very open floor plan, easy to relax, cool, and enjoy the surroundings! Plus they had a Foosball table!

Management is responsive - Property needs to be more "Comfortable"

Stayed here in Dec-2022 for 3 nights. Booking the property was easy and the management responses were quick. At some point, it became over communicative with multiple requests for "how many people in the group, how many cars". I had already mentioned 4 adults as a family.( I have a trail of 28 emails back and forth from booking to leaving the property). The actual house furnishings left a lot to be desired. The mattresses were comfortable(firm) which I like. The kitchen had the right utensils. Unfortunately I saw a few issues which kept me from enjoying the property amenities. The bedrooms have closets with sticks hanging with hangers for your clothes. There are no doors or shelves in/on these closets. It was a repeat in the other bedroom. My suitcases remained opened on the floor with cloths for 4 days as there was nothing to place them on. The floor had no rugs or mats( to make it easy for cleaning?) and on all 4 days, feet hitting a cold stone floor was not what I expected(it was in the low 30's outside). There are low hanging lights right next to the headside of the beds, against which more than when member of my family knocked there heads. The couch in the living room is functional at best. It is not comfortable to sit on, its material is rough, its curved and hard. And the water is set to 'Very Hot'. We almost scalded ourselves on the first day. The fourth ‘bedroom’ is detached as mentioned in the advertisement, but in such a desolate location, makes it scary to sleep in if you are alone. The foosball table handles come off easily, and I did not see the air hockey table either(stowed away?). The outside hot spa was a functioning and a nice. I was asked to place bins out for collection, and then put them back after collection. I was not expecting such house rules which I think go too far. The road outside of the gate is a dirt road, uneven and I nearly hurt my self as the bins bounced around. House rules also mentioned that I 'Clean' all dishes when I leave instead of just running the dishwasher( I had to do a turn around to come back and as I forgot to start the dishwasher 15min into my departure). I had to request the plastic glass replacement which was done promptly by management(Thank You!!) So overall, even though the responses were quick, the location of the property was what I was looking for, the furnishings, property 'comforts' were lacking as mentioned above. If this house was to fix these issues, I’m sure I would come back.

Great house

Came into JT for a couple days and had a great stay here - property was in contact up to and throughout the stay making sure we had all we needed - the sitting pools and fire pit was a nice touch in the evenings while sitting outside - property is close to town and 2 differ t entrances into the park - would definitely stay here again

Just what we needed...

House was sparkling clean, minimalist (to my taste) and very central to JTNP entrances plus restaurants, sights. Pool was also minimal but enough to entertain kids. Kitchen had what we needed and enough space. One small complaint - house may have undergone a recent remodel and needs more shelves, hooks, etc. I had to live out of a basket and a pile, not a big deal for 4 nights but needs upgrade.

Beautiful Home

The home was beautiful and clean. My grandkids loved the pool and extra room for toys and to play in. Beds were super comfortable and the views were gorgeous out the back door. Kitchen was well stocked. My grandkids wanted to live there!!
