“I was a completely unplanned visitor who trekked the moors at night to reach the Inn. Though the only thing that happened on the moors was fulfilling an American's silly Holmesian fantasy of walking the moors at night, everyone was concerned for my safety and I really appreciated that. My stay was wonderful, the food was really delicious, and everyone with whom I spoke was just up-front and pleasant. I will be back some day and guess where I'll stay?”

“This was an immaculately clean and comfortable stay. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant had a good choice and the chef clearly takes pride in his food- great quality and lots of choice. The breakfast included traditional ootions but also good quality food. We loved the location and would highly recommend the Queens for an overnight or longer stay. We also brought out dog and we were all made to feel very welcome. ”

“I booked and paid for 3 nights this week. Before arriving, I called the landline at about 11:45 no answer. On arrival just before the 3 pm check-in time the place was shut, doors locked and curtains drawn. Called the mobile number several times and messaged the mobile to inform the person I was waiting to check in. “Staff were really lovely and helpful. Room was very clean and quiet, and the hotel was perfectly situated in the centre of Hexham. The only issues were the very few parking spaces available, and the fact we could only park for up to 2hrs with a permit during the day, if there wasn’t any space in the tiny car park. But we loved the hotel itself and would recommend. ”
