Visit Bergstaden Røros, just an hour's drive away. The site was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1980 and is definitely worth a visit. The Aukrust center in Alvdal can also be recommended. Get to know the diverse world of Kjell Aukrust and meet Solan and Ludvig. If you want great nature experiences, you can go to Sølendalen and climb Sølnkletten with its 1827 meters above sea level. There are also several other hiking opportunities such as Tronfjellet and Jotulhogget. Both Alvdal and Tynset have a rich selection of marked hiking trails as well as cultural trails.
