Lovely and informative hosts. Clean and well-sized room. Comfy bed. Keurig coffee and bar fridge. A night light and a tissue box would be useful additions to the room amenities. Guests should note (and it's clear on the listing so we knew what we were getting into) that the property is about 20 minutes' drive from downtown Ucluelet, so the drive home after dinner in town is on a dark and narrow road, with deer to watch out for.

Very nice property away from hustle and bustle but only 20 min from Tofino. Tom is super nice and came to meet us when we arrived. Woukd definately stay there again.

Peaceful stay

Fabulous shower!!

This property is a bedroom with bathroom and features a gorgeous shower. Very clean and modern. There are 3 rooms under the main residence facing the sea. So beautiful. The only criticism we would have is lack of sound proofing from upstairs and the other rooms.

Wundervollle Unterkunft mit phantastischen Gastgebern

Modernes Zimmer in einer tollen Umgebung mit super Aussicht und phantastischen Gastgebern. Carolyn und Tom sind sehr zuvorkommend ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Sie stehen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und sofern gewünscht, geben Sie auch die ein oder anderen Tipps für Aktivitäten, Unternehmungen, Wanderrouten und Restaurants. Danke ihr seid toll. Macht weiter so.

Quiet Cove

A quiet cove in the wilderness with an artist’s view of Ucluelet and the harbour but the comfort of a hot tub, clean room and spacious shower. Hosts are obviously working on continual upgrades.

What your looking for

Cute, quiet & great getaway spot away from the city. Personally, Ucluelet town ( which is 12min drive away) was more exiting than Tofino. So my partner and I were happy that we choose to stay in uccelete. Carolyns cove is was a great stay, the firepit is great for after the hike we did & soaked in the hottub. Definitely reccomend staying here over hotels, they add in the extra touches & make you feel so comfortable and welcomed. 💓. -Sierra & Nigel

A wonderful view, a private swimming beach, in a quiet forest setting. There was a big clean kitchen area. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. There were wonderful restaurants to chose to visit. There were walking trails and miles of beach to walk.

Battery Recharge

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Carolyn's Cove B&B. It was the perfect peaceful spot for us to "recharge batteries". It felt like a real holiday....much appreciated.

Carolyn's Cove room #2 was a pleasant space with nice decor and was clean and fresh. Carolyn and her husband Tom were warm and welcoming. The hot tub and views are lovely. Unfortunately, there are no windows in the suite you can open so it was quite stuffy and damp feeling overnight. The "continental breakfast" was most disappointing, with a bowl of mixed fruit, a pot of Activia yogurt each, bagged supermarket bread for us to toast and opened (used) peanut butter and jam available in a shared fridge. There was no butter but again, plastic tubs of used margarine. All of this food was provided in a windowless, airless kitchen space shared by all three guest rooms. It felt more like a cheap youth hostel than a B & B, which in our experience usually offers a variety of cold breakfast items, home baking and often hot food such as bacon and eggs on offer. During Covid, it felt unsafe to be sharing food items with other guests and the kitchen was unappealing. The "house rules" were that food (other than light snacks) were to be consumed in the kitchen and not in the guest room. Ucluelet and its beaches are a 20 minute drive from this B & B on a long, windy road that is difficult to drive at night. We would not choose to stay here again.
