The restaurant staff are very nice and friendly, however the hotel is very dated and i now discovered I have bites from bed bugs all over my feet, which is now ruining the first days of my holidays. A nice place to stay with great views however cleanliness comes first, so it’s a no go.

Hadde et fortreffelig opphold på Cantaloupe! Deilig sted å bare slappe av og gjøre ingenting. Nydelig strand, synd at det var litt mye bølger og understrømmer. Flott å gå på tur langs stranden! Og hyggelig personale. Ikke alt for mye å gjøre tett på, men Galle er ikke langt unna.

Overall okay but very bad service

Hotel was okay until we wanted to leave to Columbo and were trying to get an Uber but there was a few youngsters outside that sent every car away because they wanted us to take them for 3 times the price when we went to the hotel guy for help he offered to get us a taxi from the hote for an even more ridicules price and he would help us out with at all we honestly did not feel safe at that point and it was very disappointing how they didn’t wanna help us saying we welcome to call police but there’s nothing they can do

Beautiful place right on the beach.. The pool/restaurant area has the most amazing view of the ocean. Our breakfast was included and was definitely a highlight of our whole trip! The staff was very helpful always greeting us with smiles on their faces!

Tv did not work and the stay not happy

The view was okay, staff was alright! But the tv didn’t work and had only 6 channels which is a bummer! And the food wasn’t that good. Overral not happy with the venue.

Excellent stay and brilliant base for the cricket test. The service our group received was exceptional. I must give special credit to Sandun, he was brilliant! We would come back here when England next play in Galle.

View to die for.... Best view

Extremely friendly staff, very prompt and helpful. Even their other property cantaloupe levels is great... It's relatively new and hence has much better amenities. This place is about 6 kms from main unawatuna Beach so keep that in mind.

Loved staying here !

This hotel is great. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and hard working. The rooms are clean and are cleaned daily. I highly recommend getting the breakfast ( we booked it online which included brekky) it was great with fruit platters, fresh fruit juices, eggs and other options to. The fact that the hotel is right on the beach is amazing. It’s great to wake up to and it’s great water to walk down and swim in. The pool is really clean, it’s fairly small But the images on the website are true to the hotel.

This hotel is a little oasis and we loved every minute of being there. Staff were so friendly and professional, the view is out of this world and the room was gorgeous and clean. 10/10! When we come back to Sri Lanka we will stay here again.

Our room was lovely and had a view of the ocean, which was an amazing view to wake up to, and the sound of the waves helped us sleep easily as well. The breakfast was delicious and made even better by the view of the ocean again as you’re seated right by it. The hotel doesn’t exactly have a private beach though as the beach chairs and sand take up a small area in the hotel and are not connected to the actual beach and ocean. There is a short (one foot tall) wall and a lot of large rocks in between. The poool is a bit small as well. However, it is no a big deal because the hotel is only a few minutes’ walk from large beaches that were quite empty. There is a beach on the left and on the right of the hotel. I would suggest future guests and to go to the beach that is on the left of the hotelvwhen facing the ocean (further from Galle Fort) since it seems closer and larger.

Nice Staff, Not a 4 Star Hotel

The hotel staff is incredibly nice, and accommodating. However, this is not a 4 star hotel. If you are accustomed to 4 star hotels, you may want to consider staying elsewhere. At best, this hotel is a 3 star hotel. Our room did not feel "clean", and there were ants in our room. The floors in the rooms need to be replaced, and the hotel needs new paint. The pool area was filled with leaves. Our tv did not work, and after calling about the issue 6 times, I was provided with no solution or alternative. I awoke at 3am to retrieve ice, and was told by the security guard, there was no one on staff. I understand this is a small hotel, however, anything can happen in the middle of the night, and to not have any staff present, did not sit well with me. The food at this hotel is very tasty, and you are able to have the breakfast included in your room, which is a very nice accommodation. If you are looking for a hotel with good food, and a hotel right on the beach, this is the hotel for you. If you are more accustomed to updates, and 4 star service, you may wish to consider an alternate hotel.

This hotel is not as nice as pictured. The room itself is great but the property isn’t and the area isn’t great either. The pool is super small, there’s no actual beach, and it’s a bit run down in general. The staff was super nice though. I was unhappy about my stay and the construction on the beach taking place right outside my room and in front of the only outside lounge tea so I switched properties.
