Zuhäusl: 40 m², entire house, 1–2 people, one bedroom
Rural, elegant, and relaxing—that’s how we’d describe our three luxury solid-wood chalets, which, along with a historic outbuilding, are grouped around the orchard of a historic, listed Chiemgau farmstead. In addition to carefully selected furnishings featuring rustic antiques and works of art, we haven’t skimped on practical amenities, including a carport, an electric vehicle charging station, a bike storage room, a fitness room, a laundry room, a farm shop, and much more. Sustainability is a top priority for us—whether it’s green energy, blooming meadows, fruit-bearing wild shrubs, our beekeeping operation, or happy poultry. You’ll want for nothing during an unforgettable vacation in the Chiemgau Mountains. For guests who appreciate something special: a historic, listed outbuilding on an ancient farmstead with a view across the farm garden and the expansive orchard meadow to the surrounding mountains. The historic structure, which was recently extensively restored and equipped with all modern comforts, provides the setting for stylish yet functional rooms: on the first floor, a small entryway and the kitchen-living room, plus a newly added bathroom with a tub; a steep, historic box staircase leads to the upper floor, which features a living area and a bedroom with a double bed (180x200 cm). Handmade tiles, high-quality textiles, custom-built furniture, rustic antiques, down comforters, batiste linens, and fine white terry cloth complete the ensemble. Underfloor heating, free Wi-Fi, Bose speakers. Plus, all the amenities of our Lohei complex—from the lockable bike storage room, the farm store, the laundry room, and the carport to the barbecue area. The Lohei estate, featuring an orchard on a south-facing slope, stretches from Unterwössner Hauptstraße to the steep banks of the Wössner Bach, offering unobstructed views of the Hochplatte, Balsberg, Hochlerch, and Hochgern. Its location in the Achental valley between Lake Chiemsee and the Wilder Kaiser provides an excellent starting point for hikes or bike rides through the beautiful Chiemgau Alps. Other destinations such as Rosenheim, Traunstein, or Salzburg are also within easy reach. We—the Kerscher family, your hosts—live in the Lohei farmhouse, which has been restored in accordance with historic preservation guidelines, right in the midst of the vacation homes, and we’re always happy to assist our guests with advice, practical help, a friendly word, or a cup of espresso.
