  • Esta bonita vivienda está totalmente amueblada y cuenta con cuatro amplios dormitorios. El dormitorio principal tiene un vestidor. Dispone de salón, comedor, dos baños y una cocina totalmente equipada. Los techos altos y el sistema de ventanas situadas en la parte superior y entre las distintas zonas de la casa proporcionan una ventilación excelente, lo que mantiene una temperatura agradable de forma respetuosa con el medio ambiente. Sus dos amplios balcones son el lugar perfecto para descansar o simplemente disfrutar de la acogedora naturaleza de Puerto Rico, acompañado del canto de la gran variedad de pájaros que viven en la zona. Situada en la zona montañosa sin salida al mar del centro de la isla, un lugar sagrado para nuestros antepasados, los indígenas taínos, la propiedad formaba parte de una antigua finca cafetera y tiene una extensión de 7.5 acres, que podrás explorar y donde podrás estar en contacto con la naturaleza.

    Interior de la casa: En el centro de la casa hay un pequeño patio interior que te ofrecerá un ambiente refrescante. En esta zona, el techo es una cúpula más alta que en el resto de la casa, con una claraboya que deja que la luz del sol ilumine el patio interior.

    También gestionamos «Batey Zipline Adventure», una empresa de aventuras en la naturaleza que ofrece excursiones por la zona del río Tanamá (a unos 10 minutos de la casa) e incluye actividades como tirolina, rappel, espeleología, kayak en el río, senderismo por el bosque, puente colgante y paseos a caballo. ¡Nuestros huéspedes tienen un 10 % de descuento en todas las excursiones de tirolina!

    Otras atracciones: Si quieres estar en contacto con la naturaleza y disfrutar de lugares históricos, medioambientales y científicos emocionantes e interesantes, este es tu sitio. Parque Ceremonial Indígena de Caguana: data del año 1200 d. C. y fue el centro ceremonial más importante de la cultura taína en las Indias Occidentales. Este parque ceremonial está a solo dos kilómetros de la casa. Parque de las Cuevas del Río Camuy: es un extenso sistema de cuevas, considerado uno de los más importantes del hemisferio occidental. Famoso por su río subterráneo, el Río Camuy, el tercero más grande del mundo. El Lago de Dos Bocas: es un embalse grande, precioso y sinuoso. Puedes coger el ferry que sale del muelle principal para ir a uno de los muchos restaurantes a orillas del lago.

    A solo media hora de la casa puedes disfrutar de muchas otras atracciones interesantes que completan un circuito turístico emocionante y educativo. Observatorio de Arecibo: el radiotelescopio más grande y sensible del mundo forma parte del Centro Nacional de Astronomía e Ionosfera (NAIC). Durante tu visita, podrás disfrutar de su programa educativo: «Más allá de lo que ven los ojos: explorando el universo invisible». Reserva Forestal de Río Abajo: abarca más de 5,000 acres de terreno y cuenta con cuevas de piedra caliza, ríos subterráneos, un hermoso bosque y una abundante fauna silvestre.

Beautiful home and grounds.

Lovely place to stay. The host, Jorge, was very helpful and readily available to answer any questions. Grounds are really nice and a great get away from the noise and bustle. Road getting to the home was winding and twisting but once you traveled it you got used to it. Great place to stay.

Beautiful stay

Had a great time thank you. Was Alil hard to find at night but other then that the stay was nice . Owner was available for most part . Had a nice grill area we were able to have a nice time

Puerto Rico Mountain Vacation

Perfect location for a beautiful, mountainous nature retreat. Our group had so much fun exploring one of the mountain regions of Puerto Rico. Also with in an hour of beautiful beaches. The house and the surrounding property was a perfect accomodation for a group of 7 adults. Beautiful, well kept house and property in a nice neighborhood. Definitely would recommend! 5 stars!! and property. .

Gorgeous private home

Beautiful home set in the hills with no visual neighbours. Everything you need for a relaxing stay. Big covered veranda, big rooms help make this a great family home. It has no A/C but it really wasn't needed due to its location and lots of surrounding trees. The hot water is on and off a bit but it was warm. The host is very responsive and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Just loved it.

The ride is for experienced driver the roads, twist& turns sudden and dark

I accomplished what I needed to accomplish. However, the space needs to be equipped with proper kitchen. Utensils and shopping should be done shut sufficiently before arrival negotiating the road during the night is difficult.

When we first arrived , we thought everything was okay... our flight was early morning, so we arrived at 4 AM. At 9:30 in the morning, we were awakened by the power being shut off. And this occurred every single day Monday through Friday both weeks we were there, and it would remain off until at least 5 PM, and then On one of those days, the power remained off until we decided to leave the property at 10 PM to get a hotel.We spoke with the host and posted our receipt on a text message and his response was the power came back on at 11:30 PM, we left it alone. Didn't ask for a refund for the hotel? And when we left, our flight was changed to an earlier flight. So we had to rush off the property, but we made sure the night before to clean everything including stripping our beds and washing them for them just leaving them in the dryer.. The only thing we did leave was Our dishes from our meal that night. But they were rinsed and left on the counter. The next day after checkout we received a nasty message stating that the house was left a disaster that they had to throw out all of the sheets and linens due to them being left filthy and that the house was disgusting and there were maggots on the counter, which is an absolute insult and lie. Also, as far as the area, everything along the lines of attractions such as seeing the caves or doing rope swings or zip lining or basically any attractions in the area are closed or out of business!

Expansive views, meh kitchen

We really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and sitting on the porch. The house was clean, comfortable and very roomy. We only spoke to the host on the phone, but he was helpful and responsive to all our questions. Since this home is located in a remote area in the mountains, we planned to cook most of our meals there. The 3 skillets provided were not usable, so we had to buy a skillet for cooking. There was only one kitchen towel provided. There was a cupboard with spices which was nice. We made do with what was there, but felt the kitchen could have been better equipped.

Spectacular view. Not for the business person.

Coming from city living,, it was different. If ur scared of driving in the hillside, this is not for you. It is REALLY away from tourist areas. The house is close to the caves and rainforest so a lot of areas are preserved and still affected from the last hurricane. Overall, it was an amazing experience for my family and I. I can still smell the clean air. The only thing bad I had to say was the number of spiderwebs inside the property. The way the house was built, was to bring nature in the home. The pillows were outdated and covered in mold and mildew. There are some electronically updates needed but that is a major reason your on vacation. The house was clean. BUT we stayed the entire 5 days and it didn’t bother us after the first night. The owner was disposable for us and very pleasant. He answered every time we reached out.

Beautiful, I wish we had stayed longer

For 3 days/2 nights we (being a 5-man bachelor party) stayed at this residence and had a great time. There was plenty of elbow room, the common area table was great for poker nights, and the porch was a welcome reprieve when wanting a hot minute away to relax w/ nature. The roads/approach was narrow and it took a pass or two to get our bearings, but once you notice the yellow/green gate posts at the top of the driveway... you can't miss them. Cafe Oro was great for coffee and breakfast, and dinner at Mi Pequeno San Juan was awesome as well as under budget. Don't forget sampling deliciously strange ice creams at Heladeria Lares, just bring cash and no cards are accepted. GO EAT AT EL CEPO Restaurante Mirador, you will not be disappointed in food or view. We also hit Camuy Rio Caverns, Arecibo Observatory, and Charco Azul from this home base. I give this place 5 stars because it was great, even when things went sideways. There was an issue with the water pump and we lost all water pressure, but the response and repair was immediate. The rain had the back yard swamped out, but the stone pavers and landscaping still provided the paths to get down to the forest edge. Even on the approach and having difficulty finding the house, Jorge was responsive and helped guide us. All in all, I wish we could've stayed longer and look forward to hopefully visiting again.

Peaceful

The house met all of our needs, it’s about 45 minutes to an hour everywhere but we’ll worth it. The owner was easy to get a hold of and was very receptive to all of our needs. Very relaxing.

A family vacation

What a treat. From the first day my spouse fell in love. It's someone full and we enjoyed the coqui singing at night. Also it rain in the evenings almost every day keeping temperatures just right. Thank you very much

Great experience

Property was spacious, comfortable and above all clean. Great location. We enjoyed getting up early, sitting in the porch, feeling the fresh morning breeze, listening the birds & roosters, and drinking a great cup of coffee....we loved it.

Week 2 of 3 family bacation

This house is exactly as described. It was very comfortable for our group of 5. We were unable to take advantage of the close proximity of the river tours due to bad weather so we ended our week here 2 days early. It was an adventure everyday getting to and from this home to say the least. Unforgettable memories were made, friendly people and excellent communication with the owner. Thank you for making your home available.

Mountain Home

Property was exactly pictured in photo. It was a beautiful home. It was difficult to find at night, but we arrived safely. Jorge was very great in communication with us. Just be prepared to drive on a mountain. Bakery and convenience store just a short drive away.

Fantastic time!

We had a fabulous time at this home in Utuado! The house was spacious with plenty of room for the whole family. We particularly loved sitting on the veranda looking out over the gorgeous grounds. The property is expansive and was lots of fun exploring. The location of the home was perfect for fully immersing in the adventures of the mountains. Batey’s Ziplining company was fabulous! We had so much fun with the extended tour. The area is truly breathtaking! We also enjoyed the local bakery and other eateries within a few miles. Driving to the coast and even Old San Juan is doable from the house and was worth it. The drive to/from the house is an adventure in itself. We loved the views from the winding roads! We had an absolutely wonderful time! Highly recommend both the home and the area.
