This condo is an adequate place to stay for a ski vacation at Vail, but not great. Our party consisted of six adults - my wife and I, our two kids in their 20s, and two friends of theirs. The living and dining areas were good for a group this size - plenty of space and the couch was very comfortable. The master bedroom also has a lot of space and a great shower, but the desk is very unsteady. The upstairs bedrooms were fine. The apartment was generally clean other than some stains on the carpet.
But there were several disappointments:
- Not conveniently located to the Cascade lift - it’s either a long walk in ski boots or a long, slightly uphill traverse on skis. Skiing back in is easier. You are not allowed to use the ski storage at the Hyatt, which is only for Hyatt guests.
- Garage is too small for a large SVU - we rented a GMC Yukon and had to park it in an uncovered guest spot.
- The upstairs bathrooms seem like a single bathroom that was divided into two bathrooms. As a result, they are very small, especially the showers. Both showers also leak badly.
- There is only one humidifier in the whole apartment. We have never stayed anywhere in the CO mountains that didn’t have a humidifier in every bedroom.
- Minimal staples on arrival - no tissues or salt & pepper.
- The refrigerator is old and the ice dispenser doesn’t work.
Overall, this is a decent place to stay as long as your expectations aren’t too high.
