  • Gorgeous wood paneling and rich autumn tones fill this condo, creating a uniquely comfortable atmosphere. Guests can relax in front of the gas fireplace and enjoy a meal cooked up in the full kitchen. Better yet, take refreshments out to the balcony and enjoy a view of the mountain! The family friendly living room includes a sofabed for younger guests or folks who want to be up early to hit the slopes. Guests who choose to relax in the bedroom can enjoy the use of a DVD player. But all guests of this condo can enjoy access to shared amenitie such as the heated outdoor pool and three hot tubs.

    Of course, the biggest draw is the slopeside location for prime ski-in/ski-out access. The building features a front desk and concierge in main lobby, with the popular El Sabor restaurant, great for takeout or grab-and-go meals, just off the main lobby as well. On the first floor you'll find the business center, pool and hot tubs! Should you need ski gear, Charter Sports is right on the second floor, catering to skiers of all levels. Also on the second floor are coin operated washers and dryers. Off the property you'll find Vail General store and Lionshead Liquors just around the corner. All nearby Lionshead restaurants and shops are a short distance away for when you're not spending your time on the slopes. Adventure Ridge at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola operates day and night, in both winter and summer, for unbeatable family fun!

Great Christmas vacation spot

Location was superb. Condo was not fancy but very funstional and nice. Staff was very helpful. The coffee at the front desk was also very convenient. Overall a great place in one of the bets possible locations in Vail.

Great place, right by the gondola

We are a family of 4 with teenage kids and the apartment was a good size for us. Very clean, nicely decorated and well staffed. We loved the two large outdoor hot tubs and swimming in the heated pool as the snow fell.

Room was very nice, clean with great view. The staff were friendly and helpful. Property has onsite ski valet adjacent to Eagle Bahn Gondola and Born Free Express Lift. No better location in Lionshead Village.

Fantastic property, great location in Lionshead.

Best location in Lionshead. Walk out to Lionshead shops and the ski mountain. Very well maintained condo over looking Gore Creek and Vail mountain. Clearly the owner cares for this property.

Wonderful property!

Loved the location - the condo overlooks the creek, mountains, beautiful gardens. Just a beautiful spot to enjoy coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening! Condo was very quiet , well appointed and extremely clean. A 10+

Lion Square

The best vacation rental I have stayed in. The bed, sheets, and pillows were amazing. These are usually overlooked with vacation rentals, so after a few days my back and skin hurt. No here! They were so nice I looked to see what the brand was on the pillows so I could buy some for my own home. The location is perfect. You have a lot to do in the village there or its a beautiful scenic walk along a river to the main village. I loved sitting on the balcony and listening to the river. I will definitely be back.

Beautiful apartment with a lovely view

We found the apartment to be spacious for the two of us as well as being nicely decorated and clean. Bed was large and comfortable. The balcony looks out over the property and Gore Creek, providing a beautiful view. Walking/biking trail is easily accessible behind the property. Lionshead Village is right outside the front door and Vail Village is about a twenty minute walk along the scenic walking/biking trail. The pool and hot tub were available for our use. Front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance staff were all very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed and were satisfied with our stay at Lion Square Lodge South.

Absolutely perfect!

We booked this property last minute, night before arrival and was lucky to get this place. Early ski season also did helped. The condo was immaculate and beautifully decorated with a deck view of the slopes.. Exit the lobby and you are steps away from the Lionshead gondola and lift. The young man at the desk was cheerful, welcoming and accommodating. We could not watch the bedroom t.v. When we turned it on, nothing but snow and we could not fix it. It was late so we just let it and and let the front desk know upon departure. There were several wall outlets that would not take a plug in for cell phones or iPad. Next time we will bring a double or triple wall outlet adapter. These things were trivial compared to the great condo it is. We look forward to staying here again.

keep this place a secret

I hesitate to write too glowing of a review because My preference would be to keep this place a secret, but if I’m honest it was truly fabulous. Clean, well-decorated, friendly staff, wonderful amenities (pool, hot tub), and incredible location. We will definitely be back.

Vacationing In Paradise

This was our second year we’ve stayed at Lion’s Square Lodge for a June/July vacation. My wife and I plan on staying at Lion’s Square Lodge for many years to come God willing. The entire staff, from the front desk personnel, to the cleaning experts, all the way to facility’s personnel, were all extremely helpful, friendly, and courteous. The facilities manager Justin was especially great. He answered my many questions about Lion’s Square, and the Vail Village area. He even offered to show us other rooms I had expressed interest in staying in during our next year visit. Our condo was clean and in an excellent location. Our balcony offered a view of Vail mountain, the gondola, Core creek, the walking/bike path following the creek , and the pool area, which was spectacular. We spent each night on our balcony star gazing and feeling blessed to be exposed to such beauty. Having El Sabor restaurant directly on the Lion’s Square grounds was very convenient. Great margaritas and nachos. The work out facility with a hot tub directly next to it was also very enjoyable to use! We had such a great stay at Lion’s Square. A perfect place to retreat after a long day of walking, biking, hiking up the mountain, or sunning pool side, and or especially after a great night at an eatery and having drinks! Really loved our stay at Lion’s Square. Keep the great work up!!!! Oscar and Maureen.

Awesome Views

Great view of pathway, river, mountains, and vegetation at complex. Great balcony for grilling, watching hummingbirds, drinking coffee or wine and enjoying the sounds of the river. Hospitality of staff was excellent. Location was fantastic- Restaurants and shops are just minutes away (all walkable), use Gondola that’s a minute walk to go the top for hiking or biking.
