We started off on the wrong foot. We arrived very late and were ready for sleep, but unfortunately the interior garage door was ajar, and the smell from the garbage cans in the garage had leached into the house. We had to open all the windows to clear out the odor. Thankfully, throughout our stay we were able to contain it by keeping the garage door closed.The property itself has a lot of nice finishes and it’s obvious the build was well done. However, the upkeep leaves much to be desired. Some of the issues we noticed included:Drywall damage in several areasOld, stained carpetHot tub in poor conditionOutdoor grill could not be lit without purchasing a lighterMost backyard accent lights burnt outBackyard firepit rusted outShower leaking onto the bathroom floorDining chairs wobbly and missing hardware, with overall worn furnitureOven did not work (or was not user-friendly)Bathroom cabinets needing maintenanceDamaged window screens allowing insects insideMissing cranks on some windowsThe two twin beds set up in a long closet with no ventilationThat may sound like a lot, but the place was not horrible. Overall, it was a nice visit, and we enjoyed our time there. That said, given the price point, I expected the property to be more well-kept and maintained.

Lovely location. Quiet neighborhood. Very clean. The beds were fairly comfortable. The kitchen had almost everything we needed including a gas range. The large wrap-around couch accommodated our group of six. The table in the dining area was great for playing board games together. Downsides - Two of the showers allowed water to leak out onto the floor. One of the upstairs bedrooms has an odd little room off of it with two twin futons, which could be perfect for some families but wasn't well described on VRBO. There was only one bathtub that was circular and about four feet tall - impossible to get in or out of. No ice maker or ice trays so bring in your own ice. Almost all the lighting was canned lights in the ceilings - no lamps, so it was a little dark. It was also hard to park three cars there. We enjoyed our stay nevertheless.

Vail retreat

Location is a quick drive to parking lots in vail village or lionsgate which are 30 per day per car. House was spacious enough for 6 adults but one bedroom is located downstairs and the slider door offers no privacy from sounds in busy kitchen area. The master bedroom is open floorplan with no door separating toilet shower and main bedroom. Very very odd to say the least. Backyard access to forest is fun for the families with pets.

Family vacation

We enjoyed our family vacation at this beautiful home. We had a few issues though. We had some problems with the fans, lights and hot Water. Management was in contact with us but we had to resolve the issue on our own (power breaker). Also the gas grill and outdoor fire pit had to be manually lit after help from management company It’s frustrating when you pay for a nice home and have to resolve things on your own.

Great location, house is kind of quirky

We had a great few days in Vail and the house was a good fit for 7 people (4 adults and 3 kids), and appreciate that they took our dog. Brian, the property manager, was very responsive. The house has some quirks - odd layout in the kids' bedroom with two small beds in an attic-like space (better for smaller kids), and parts of the house have been upgraded, but other things were in disrepair (for example, cracked tiles in the kitchen, cabinet doors falling off hinges). Would be better with some relatively easy repairs and slight upgrades for the cost of this property.

We had a wonderful stay in Vail. The house is beautiful and clean. It had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and the steam shower! We’d love to visit again. Highly recommend.

Nice but poor communication

We had a great time while staying. The home had a few issues: cracked tiles in the kitchen, broken sliding door across from the kitchen that probably need to be repaired. Overall the home was in a good location and the backyard is a great place to relax. However, after we left communication with the property manager was poor. I may have left an item at the home and tried to reach out but never heard back.

This is a beautiful home in west Vail with a back seating area that borders the forest.

Marty Slott was fabulous helping me with anything house related, I thank him so much. The house could use some general updates like carpeting, window shades that work, etc. but overall a great experience.

Great Family Getaway!!

Terrific property in ideal location!! Beautiful neighborhood, close to everything! Love the wrap around deck, the jacuzzi, and the waterfall in the backyard. Many wonderful family photo opportunities. All bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Plenty of room for our family of 6. We were in Vail for a wedding, however, loved coming back to the home to enjoy family time. Highly recommend this property!! Many amazing family memories now in the books!
