  • SALTY MARSH LODGE is a newly renovated house located just 4.6 miles from the Venice Marina and 2.7 miles from Cypress Cove Marina where you can enjoy the finest fishing and hunting in the Gulf of Mexico. Whole house enjoyment in a private setting. We do have neighbors on our lane, but they are wonderful and local to the area.
    Accommodates families or fishing buddies in comfortable surroundings. We offer 3 bedrooms with 7 beds
    Bedroom 1 - Queen with on suite bathroom
    Bedroom 2 - 2 Twin beds
    Bedroom 3 - 1 queen, 1 twin 1 bunk bed (1 full, 1 twin)
    Large kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, built-in stove top, oven, and microwave. Includes all kitchen equipment, dishes, glassware, bedroom linens and towels. Includes a washer and dryer with detergent available.
    There is a large living room with DISH TV and WIFI internet.
    ICE MACHINE
    Relax on the HUGE covered porch including a swing and an 8 ft. picnic table and fish cleaning table. There is also a gas grill and outside fryer available for your use.
    Plenty of parking on site.

Love the ice machine

Great place to stay for a fishing trip. Big yard for my boat. Love the Ice Machine!! Owner just needs to purchase a new grill and LP tanks.

Terrible stay

This property is nothing like the picture. Outside of the house is falling apart, rotten wood, sidding. Inside the house floors are very uneven like walking in a fun house. There was half a roll if that of toilet paper in each bathrooms. Window AC barely keep each room cooled even with doors closed and ceiling fan going. Door code was wrong, had to try mutliple times to get correct code-30 minutes later had to get on the phone after no response with email. Was told i was being charged $75 for throwing fish "trash" in the trash cans. There is nothing anywhere stating they had to be disposed another way as i was told they should have been disposed somewhere off the property. I have stayed at numerous VRBO property for years and i have never experienced such a bad stay like this one. Me and my friends will never use this property again. Mr. Jordan

The house is in a great and convenient location for any Venice based hunting and fishing. Drive to the wharf took us leave than five minutes, which was very handy after a long day on the water. The house itself is clean and comfortable with a lot of beds and decently stocked kitchen with lots of spices and seasonings as well as multiple fillet knives. There is a large ice maker on the outside and a big standalone freezer for your fish and game processing needs as well as a cleaning station on the outside of the house.The VRBO email contained all the necessary information and came in plenty of time. It would be nice to see a new grill, but I assume the salt air makes maintain one on the outside of the house difficult. I did see a couple of small portable electric grill tops on the inside of the house, so I assume one can make do with that. For our group we used the stove top and the cast iron pans and that was more than enough for our needs. It's not the fanciest house, but I liked it a lot and the location combined with the amenities based around the area's outdoor activities made it a good choice for my friends and I. For a group of Middle Aged men just looking for a good place to settle down after a day on the water it was a great choice.

Best place I’ve stayed In the sevens years since I’ve been coming to Venice, LA. Owners are great in communication and their place is clean , well stocked, and close to the marina. Will definitely stay here again in the future. Thanks Jeff

Quiet, Cozy, clean place to stay

We absolutely enjoyed staying at the Salty Marsh Lodge! We had a group of 6 and there was plenty of space for all of us. The lodge was very quiet, clean and cozy with everything we needed. The lodge is within 4 miles of the Venice Marina. If you are visiting Venice, Louisiana I highly recommend the Salty Marsh Lodge!

Great place for a large group to stay. Well furnished with everything you will need. Cold AC, hot water, and comfortable beds. Everything you will need to cook your catch. We will be back next year!

Great Stay for a Weekend fishing trip

This is our 2nd trip to this place it works out wonderfully for a group of six to eight for a weekend fishing trip getaway. Courtney and Jacob are very attentive to anything you need or want. And if you are looking for some inshore fishing, Jacob runs Salty Marsh charters and can get you hooked up Well be back in the Spring of 2020
