Old School Beach House

  • A sólo dos horas en coche de Melbourne, Old School Beach House en Venus Bay es el lugar perfecto para escapadas románticas fines de semana, vacaciones en familia y tiempo con amigos. La hermosa escuela de 120 años de antigüedad cuenta con un techo a dos aguas, paredes de madera con paneles y suelos de madera, todo ello complementado por una pequeña extensión que abarca 3 dormitorios, un comedor y baño / lavadero.

    La casa de estilo elegante cuenta con un lujoso y relajado vide. El salón principal está inundado de luz natural e incluye un cómodo salón, TV, DVD, altavoces Bluetooth y calefacción de gas para los meses más fríos.

    La cocina contigua está totalmente equipada con refrigerador y congelador debajo del banco, horno / estufa, lavaplatos, microondas, tostadora, cafetera KitchenAid y una despensa temática Schoolhouse única que satisface todas las necesidades de almacenamiento de vino y comida gourmet local.

    Las habitaciones Master y Second están equipadas con camas Queen y puertas correderas de piso a techo que se pueden abrir al patio trasero. Relájese, quédese en cama y disfrute de las vistas a través del jardín de árboles de té, a la reserva costera de Cape Liptrap y a las dunas de arena, y escuche el Whipbird oriental nativo y las olas del océano.

    El tercer dormitorio tiene una cama doble y una cama doble más un colchón trunking. Es una sala de diversión para acomodar a los niños y también es capaz de acomodar cómodamente una tercera pareja.

    El baño / lavandería dispone de aseo, ducha abierta, tocador y lavadora. Una línea de telas también está unida al costado de la casa, particularmente útil para secar esas toallas de playa al final de un día en la playa.

Felt like the property was well cared for and appreciated. The linen was very clean, instructions clear and host was easy to contact.Location is lovely.There were a couple of items that were missing that would have been useful but did not detract from the stay.

We had a great stay in this gorgeous cottage. It was warm and cosy on a couple of chilly nights, within walking distance to the shops and beach. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you to Michelle for being so accommodating with our last minute change.

Family Getaway Near Beach

The house is really nicely decorated and have all the amenities we need, especially in the kitchen. The kids also love their bedroom and the toy box. We'll definitely be back again next time!

Winter Short Stay

Everything was exactly as advertised and Michelle was just great in taking me through the set up when we arrived after dark. Nothing was too much trouble. Despite the bucket loads of rain, we got some quick visits in to some local spots, yummy town cafe and a walk to the beach but were very glad to return to a lovely warm house each time. Thank you for providing a great space to stay in.

Fabulous property- old schoolhouse

Michelle the host was excellent and very engaging. We arrived to a handwritten note and a bottle of wine. I loved how the property had been modernised on the inside but had kept some of the old features too. The house is beautifully decorated and feels like a home away from home. Because the gas and electricity was turned off when we arrived which is understandable, the hot water took a few hours to heat up from the water tank so don’t expect a warm shower when you arrive. We had a wonderful weekend and would absolutely recommend the old schoolhouse and Venus Bay beach: We also went to the shell museum at Inverloch which is a short drive away and well worth the the $2 donation per person which contributes to the upkeep of the museum. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!

Stay a Old School Cottage

Clean and cosy and well catered. The location in a quiet area opening out into the bush was wonderful. We highly recommend the cottage.

Relaxing beach holiday

We really enjoyed our stay - cosy nights and many, many trips down to Venus Bay beach, along a lovely path through beautiful flowering scrub. The house is well equipped, with comfy beds and a very pretty outdoor area.

Cosy, inviting and comfortable

Thank you for our stay at your Old Schoolhouse Beach home. The home is inviting and very very cute. Cleverly designed add on to the old schoolhouse. The home had everything we needed for a lovely stay. My kids particularly enjoyed exploring the path from the backyard to the beach, about a 10 minute stroll. The location of the house was great. Walking distance to town. Even in the middle of winter, the home was warm and inviting after a day exploring local beaches and walking trails. Bedding was comfy and kitchen had everything we needed to cook up meals for my forever hungry teenage boys. Thank you again. I will be recommending the schoolhouse to friends and family.

A great nature based getaway

The old school house has been well cared for and thoughtfully renovated. The backyard with swing & fairy lights got 2 thumbs up from the kids for tree climbing and cubby building (even in the rain!). Michelle was very helpful and responsive. Overall a cosy, warm and comfortable stay, we highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time and only wished we had longer. The sofas were super comfortable and we really enjoyed relaxing in the beautifully decorated and restful space. The location is perfect for walking down to the beach via a lovely track out the back gate. It is also within easy walking distance of the shops.

Gorgeous home away from home in Venus Bay

Loved the property and aesthetics! We thought we would be cold at night in bed with only one doona, but the quality was there and it was all we needed to stay warm. No storage for your clothes in any room at all, but for a weekend away it's not a big deal. The 2 heaters heated up the whole house very quickly and we had hot water in a few hours. Lot's of pantry staples. The outdoor area is just beautiful, we would have loved a fire pit to top it off. It was about a 15 walk-lot's of it uphill to the beach from the back gate, and it was well worth it. The beach is stunning. The locals and people staying in Venus bay were all really friendly and helpful. Close to Wilson's Prom to do a few day trips. Overall a really beautiful place to stay! Thank you!

Really gorgeous property

We loved our stay at the Old School house. It has been really well renovated and has everything you need with some very stylish touches. Excellent location too— a short walk to the shops and a lovely path to the beach.

Wonderful and relaxing stay

Perfect location to get away from it all and relax. The old school house was just perfect and provided the perfect destination to celebrate a special birthday with my family. Michelle was a tremendous host and always provided very prompt communication. Highly recommend.
