We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Appalachian Hotel, hosted by the wonderful Elina and Chris! From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless. The check-in and check-out process was a breeze thanks to their clear and detailed instructions, which made settling in so easy.The apartment itself was cozy, spotlessly clean, and perfectly located—just a short distance from all the local amenities. Whether we needed a quick bite or wanted to explore, everything was within easy reach.Elina and Chris were incredibly accommodating and always available to answer any questions or assist with anything we needed. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home, and it’s clear they go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome.We had such a relaxing and enjoyable weekend away—our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! Modern and Clean!

We just needed a place to destress and relax. This apartment fulfilled that need. A very cute apartment with some complimentary necessities provided. It's also a very quiet place. The host (Chris) was communicative and responsive. Overall, I'll rate them amazing! I'll definitely be booking this place again!

Quick Overnight Stay

We were in town for a graduation party at Lake Wallkill so we weren't able to take advantage of all the awesome amenities. We had a quick overnight stay in this cozy retreat. Check in and parking in the garage was a breeze. Chris provided clear instructions and was extremely responsive up until our trip. The space was very clean which is a major plus for me. And the decor was very tasteful and modern. I would definitely stay here if we're in the area again. Book the space today!!

The room itself is very clean and cute. Almost everything we brought with us was given. Surprisingly a wine bottler was included, which isn't common nowadays. Communication was always quick with the host.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay here at Cozy Retreat celebrating her 21st birthday. It was the perfect amount of space we needed for our weekend stay. We found the room to be a wonderful oasis to come back to after a day of “exploring” and shopping in nearby towns. I can see this being the perfect place to stay in the winter with the close skiing amenities. Our hosts were so detailed and thorough in their pre-stay and exiting instructions, we had no need to reach out at any time. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Property under construction. Easy to trip with no sheet rock downstairs first floor and exposed steel joints on edges of wall. Floor slippery and unsafe with construction debris and exposed insulation. No available bottle water, softdrinks etc.... Vending machine defective old non working machine. No store available evening and late hours. No cash or coin machines available for laundry. Front desk stated they are cashless system but yet beverage vending and laundry machines required coins or dollars.

I was traveling for business and this spot is hands down one of the best. On the top floor with a great view of the mountains and communication and amenities were amazing.

We Plan to Return!

Everything was smooth - the owners communicated every detail about the check-in process, and check-out routine. The unit is on the 4th floor, and in a good location so it was quiet. The unit had everything we needed to feel at home. We had a parking pass and garage access so we could park under the building. That’s REALLY important in North Jersey -especially as the weather turns cold. We plan to make this our ideal place to stay when visiting our new grandson who lives nearby.

Nice 1 night stay

Units description and photos were accurate. The unit was clean with easy check in. Host were accessible and quick to answer questions. We only stayed 1 night so we did not have a chance to use pool, but it appeared nice.

Weekend Getaway

I stayed at this listing last week w/ my mom and friend for a mini girls getaway. It was just what we needed! Clean, quaint, and modern. The hotel industry has been not so good the last decade or so. What they promote on their sites is not what you get. Not the case for this listing. The room was clean and the photos of the listing lived up to my expectations in real life. Stocked with all the amenities & housed in a clean well managed resort hotel. All the instructions were clear and we had no problems checking in or out. There is so much to do in the area. We hiked the stairway to heaven trail & spent a beach day at wawayanda state park. There are plenty activities at the resort as well. Perfect listing for a quick & relaxing getaway.

Quiet Getaway

The condo was easy to access and clean, with everything we needed for a weekend away. It was extremely quiet the weekend we stayed, but we’re had a nice time having dinner at Smokey’s and visiting the Warwick Winery. We also hiked part of the Appalachian. Unfortunately the pool and Biergarten were closed during the weekend we stayed, but the hot tub was a great bonus.

It was a basic, comfortable room. I would stay there again. Of note...Checkin was very easy. You just go to the room and put in your code. Nothing was wrong that we noted. The bed was comfortable. It had what we needed. We didn't get a chance to use the heated pool or hot tub.
