This was a great place to stay. Clean and great place to stay with our dog.Host was quick to respond to questions and very informative.Even had bacon, eggs and orange juice in the fridge for us, though we did not partake in the bacon and eggs.

The house is older and the essentials are clean, I was happy with the stay. The neighborhood is very friendly and quiet. The lakeview at the dock is relaxing. Brian was excellent, he answered questions immediately, went through a tour of the house and property and recommended a State Park that was amazing.

This place was so disgusting and unsanitary that we had to leave. After 40 pictures and hours on the phone with VRBO, they finally offered a refund and admitted to not having done cleaning. It appears they don’t clean regularly regardless, as even the host was batting away cobwebs during the tour. They didn’t even bother installing a missing door handle on the bedroom door or wiping away dried blood in the fridge and on doors. It’s also important to note that this place is NOT waterfront and that the “shared” areas were also not clean or useable. Avoid at all costs.

Short get away

We had a short getaway for the weekend and really enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and fun to have a swim area to ourselves for the kids. Hosts were very nice and accommodating.

An amazing trip. Customer service was 10\10 There was eggs,bacon,and orange juice provided by owner (very nice touch) and the dock provided an amazing time we caught enough cats to make a dinner for the family.

We enjoyed our stay although we didn’t get to enjoy the property as much as we would’ve liked to due to our family reunion! Will stay again!

Was very cold coming inHeat was off.Lake was way down so ths view was looking at mud. The redridgerator and mi rowave were very dirty. Cobwebs everywhere. Bed seemed broken and very comfortable. Not what we expected

This house was cozy, and clean.Great hospitality with from the owner. He showed us around and even left us some bacon eggs and orange juice. This house could use a few repairs done (door handles and buckling floors) but over all great little place in a quiet cove. We were able to put the boat in very close to the property and enjoy the lake with ease. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved staying at the Cozy Cottage on our first trip to LOTO. We were in town for a family reunion, with others renting nearby, but really appreciated the owner’s personal walkthrough and thoughtful touches. The provided orange juice, eggs, bacon, and bag of ice were a lovely surprise. Deer even came to rest right on the lawn and didn’t mind us walking in at night, as we gave them space and let them be. So cool, we will definitely keep this place or other places of this renters in mind for future trips in the future.

Cute little old cabin close to the water. Easy access to water for floating and swimming. Property manager was easy to communicate with and was very helpful.

Versailles Cabin Vacation

Overall, the stay was very good. I had a memorable experience and had a great time at the Lake of the Ozarks. The property owner was very kind, and it was a beautiful place. The owner had supplies and ingredients in the refrigerator for us to use, not to mention easy access to the lake. The only issues we really ran into were the slow internet, a loud air conditioner, and quite a few ants and a couple of bugs. In the end, if you are looking for a home away from home, this listing will work wonders.

Quaint & Cozy

Lots of potential. Clean and thoughtful owners. 1/2 block from the water. One of the cabinet doors hits a light fixture. Watch your head on the ceiling fan in the living room LOL! Not trailer friendly parking.

Morgan County Cottage

The cottage was clean, however overall maintenance was poor. The deck had screws exposed that could cut feet and the driveway was nearly impassable with anything but a truck. The cottage is not on the water, as you have to walk approx 1/2 block to the water and then take your own inflatables as there is a charge to use the property's.

Review for families traveling with kids.

This cabin is not as pictured on VRBO. Though I debated writing this review, as the property owner did share he would write a poor review of us as renters if I did, it is important to me that families with children are not in this same position. First, the patio area pictured is not accurate to what is on site. The covered area is in disrepair, and the affixed furniture is dirty, rusty and unusable. There were recently storms at the lake, so the beach, too, was completely inaccessible. Because of the area of this cove, parents should consider that this area will likely always have a fair amount of debris and algae and is not the zero entry pebble beach described. The docks had several wasp nests with active wasps on the day we were there prior to leaving. This should also be a consideration for parents traveling with young kiddos. The cabin is cooled by a single AC unit located in the kitchen. The bedroom gets very warm if you shut the door overnight. The second “bedroom” appears to be a converted deck that also has no access to the AC and no curtains on the doors facing the property owner’s home for light blocking or privacy. My kiddos love bugs, so the exterior of the home was not of concern but, if you have kids scared of spiders, hornets, etc. they are all over the entry of the home. There were ants in the kitchen and in the bed in the bedroom. The cabin itself is odorous- a musty smell that may be difficult for some folks, as it was for us.

Great Getaway

Really appreciate the great cabin and location. Quite area with great lake access. The part of the lake is perfect for relaxing. Will definitely be coming back.
