  • Beautiful country setting. Minutes from New River Gorge Bridge, White Water Rafting, Rock Climbing, Mt Biking. Summersville Lake, Gauley River, Meadow River great for kayaking. Horseback riding close by or bring your Horses ride the back roads and trails to the river. Fishing ponds on premises no fishing license required. Bring ATV's to enjoy some of our beautiful country side.

Stayed from Sept13-20th and had a great time. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great get away. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

The location was perfect for our trip to the National Park. We appreciate being able to bring our dogs and the space was comfortable for all of us. Highly recommend the Freefolk Brewery on the way home from your adventures!

Wonderful Getaway

My husband and I stayed here to have a small getaway and loved it! It was a bit difficult to find at first but otherwise the view was beautiful and we had a wonderful time!

We were there visiting family so we were not at the place a lot of the time, but the bed slept good and the peacefulness was a welcome to come into in the evenings.

Awesome little place

Awesome place would stay again. Only negative the driveway is to steep for motorcycles. We had to park at bottom of driveway but wasn’t bad.

fall getaway

Enjoyed out stay. Clean, close to area hiking. There is a steep hill to get to the house, but not a problem with just our front wheel drive car.

VERY NICE GETAWAY

This was a very nice stay out in the country. We were only 20 min or less from Summersville Lake, it was so nice and peaceful. I recommend this location.

A peaceful place with a beautiful view

Comfortable place, extra attention to the little things, like movies and books for rainy days, coffee and tea to start the day, comfortable furniture to relax in. The decorations made us feel right at home too.

Stayed Oct 11-14, 2022

A comfy, relaxing and private retreat. The rental was clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the vivid fall colors in the surrounding woods and hills, the expansive mountain views from the front deck, and the solitude, while still being close enough to visit family and friends and nearby attractions.

Fishing With the Boys

We so enjoyed a few days away and this property was the best! Very clean and the owners were so nice and helpful. My husband, son and his friend loved the fishing. Hope to return again someday!

Great place in a great location

Was a very nice, clean place. The owner was very responsive to questions. We never had any problems, but "checking in/out" was super easy. The setting was cool, it was remote, but just down the drive is a large fishing lake. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, and they had some extras (e.g. salt and pepper). Best for us, it was about 5-10 mins from the New River NP visitors center, and the white water rafting company. Would definitely stay here again.

New River Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful West Virginia mountains. The house was clean and cozy. We had everything we needed for our time away. The drive to the house had some stunning views to make it worthwhile. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

Our Stay.

Overall, a very nice stay. Went to several good restaurants. Good hikes and views. Could use a firmer mattress. And better road directions. Dog was well disciplined and had a great time.
