The best service
We enjoy our stay. Only the fireplace did not work but from there on out the place, comfort, cleanliness and kindness of the staff is the best. I would definitely come back.

Thank you Iris. The pilot light for the fireplace is currently off due to the extreme temperatures Victoria has been seeing these past weeks. Pilot lights on at this time of year is not necessary and can increase the temperature in the room which the majority of guests could find uncomfortable. For those that want it on at this time of year, I will leave a note for them to contact me to turn it on.

I will definitely stay here on return visits to Victoria. It is a great, quiet location with a peaceful garden. Good restaurants and cafes are a few minutes walk away. The kitchen was well enough equipped that I could enjoy some meals in as well. The space was sunny and lovely - a good place to fit in some work on my trip.

The suite was lovely, very clean, and quiet. We were able to walk to the town centre in about 15 minutes and to Cook Street village in the same amount of time. Highly recommended.

Thank you for your review. As every suite has a fully complete kitchen, this feature allows guests to enjoy meals during their stay. The Auberge has 4 fully self sufficient units with no additional space to prepare or store food items for guests. The privacy the property offers and the ability to provide exceptional value is what makes the Auberge special. There are many other accommodation options in the city that offer a basic continental breakfast should guests require this service.

The garden studio we stayed in had everything we needed with its small kitchenette. The decor was very tatstefully done. The area was quiet and the small patio was very cute. A very enjoyable stay.

There were 4 suites but only 3 parking places and street parking is scarce.

We are sorry to hear that you had trouble parking. This is the first comment of scare parking I have received in years. Within our check in and out times, the street generally has ample parking.

We're back again and will return...
We've stayed here before. It's a great location for walking to everything, quiet area and we like the suite's size and amenities. After a day out it's a great place to come back to and kick your feet up and relax.

The more beautiful, cozy and comfortable place I ever saw in my life! I recommend for everyone! And it’s not more expensive then a regular room in downtown but you have a kitchen, a living room, accès to a watching machine, even a beautiful fireplace! Unbelievable, just amazing! I very love it!

Cozy and convenient
Lovely quietspace located about a 15 minute walk from downtown. We stayed in the Magnolia Suite, which was bright, cozy, and very clean. I especially appreciated the fireplace. The manager, Heather, was incredibly helpful and responsive. I would highly recommend Auberge.

The location was excellent. Walkable, to everything downtown. Easy to navigate via vehicle for any attractions further away. There were a few things that would improve ones stay... a welcome basket of some sort would have been nice. Papertowels, scissors , and a measuring cup, for those who accually prepare food from time to time, such as myself. Also, working lights, especially since nighttime in the loft is a challenge to navigate to the bathroom. The hot water is limited if other guests have long showers or baths. I was caught without hot water and had to forgo my shower. The gas fireplace pilot light was not on, so had to call and get that resolved. A shame, as i was chilled after along day and travel. Curling up to a fire with a beverage and comfies would have been great at the end of the day...

Thank you for your comments Margaret. Should I had known you needed those items to be more comfortable, I would have provided them. I will ensure they are in the guest rooms moving forward, so thank you for the recommendation. The hot water is from an on demand tank. Depending on unit location, it can have a small distance to travel and needs to be left on for a minute or two to demand the hot water in the suites direction. All the fireplaces are being serviced to ensure they are in perfect working order for guests over the winter. I have also re-written the directions so they are more understandable for guests to operate on their own.

Thank you Melissa. Hot water is from an on demand system. It can take a few minutes to reach the carriage house due to location.

Hidden Gem
We lucked out finding this gem of an inn as it was perfect for our needs. We brought our bikes to go cycling and so appreciated being able to park next to the house with bikes in hand. Kitchen, fireplace, beautiful garden terrace with lovely landscaping and trees all enhanced the experience. The location was spot on as we love walking to explore when we travel. Thank you - we will return for sure!

Well Maintained Period Property
Great location and beautiful property. Had a little trouble getting in contact prior to visit as the phone number posted on Hotels.com and the property site was out of service and we received no response from the property email, but all was sorted when I managed to source another working phone number :)

Better than any hotel!
Loved the location! Beautifully decorated and laid out with a view of the harden. Quiet even though it’s in the city. Beat walking locations and food steps away. Will stay again and recommend to any of my friends wanting to have a beautiful stay in Victoria!

Carriage House suite is beautifully appointed and full of character. Loft was a tight space but since all I did was sleep there it wasn’t an issue. Lots of dining options within a short walk from Auberge.
