From dawn to dusk, rope lighting and elegant string lights softly illuminate the walkway and backyard oasis, creating a warm & relaxing atmosphere that many guests say feels like a private tropical retreat. The backyard backs directly onto a lush BC rainforest greenbelt with no neighbours behind you — only forest, nature trails, deer, hummingbirds, and the peaceful sounds of nature.

This property was designed for our family, and guests seeking a calm, luxurious, comfortable, & beautifully maintained space to relax, reconnect, work remotely, or enjoy time together in a serene nature setting.

Enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the forest, unwind beside the propane fire table under the gazebo, or relax outdoors surrounded by lush greenery, string lights, hummingbirds, and the peaceful sounds of nature. The backyard was intentionally designed to feel calm, cozy, luxurious, & restorative — the perfect setting to reconnect, recharge, work remotely, or simply slow down & enjoy the moment.

The property backs directly onto a beautiful rainforest greenbelt trail system leading toward Bear Mountain, with no neighbours behind you — just forest, wildlife, & nature.

Property Layout — 2 Private Suites Included in One Booking w/ 2 Separate Entrances

This booking includes two separate lower-level suites with private entrances located close to one another.

The setup works wonderfully for:

Inside the home the 2 suites are separated by a professionally constructed & sound-insulated wall for additional privacy, while still allowing everyone to comfortably stay together on the same property.

Suite #1 — LUX 2 Bedroom Modern French Farmhouse Suite

This beautifully renovated luxury suite features:

The space was professionally renovated in a modern French farmhouse style with warm textures, calming tones, soft bedding, designer finishes, & comfortable furnishings throughout.

The kitchen is equipped with:

• Cooking utensils
• Olive oil
• Spices
• Dishes and glassware
• Coffee and tea station
• Melamine dishes/glasses for outdoor use

The fireplace can be enjoyed year-round with LED lighting ambiance during evenings in spring/summer months. Outdoor Gazebo is closed Nov 1 to April 30.

Suite #2 — Private In-Law Suite

This private suite was originally designed for visiting family members and our parents/in-laws & offers a cozy luxury boutique hotel-style atmosphere with elegant theatre-inspired décor & lighting.

Originally created as a private theatre room for our family, the space was thoughtfully transformed into a comfortable in-law suite while still maintaining its warm cinematic ambiance and upscale lounge feel.

Features include:
• Queen bed with ceiling fan
• Lounge area with large couch
• Smart TV
• Desk and chair
• Dresser and closets
• Coffee station, toaster, blender
• Bar sink and island
• Microwave/oven combo (hotplate available)
• Private bathroom

The suites are separated by a professionally closed-off hallway for additional privacy and quiet enjoyment.

Backyard Oasis & Outdoor Experience
The backyard is one of the highlights of the property and was designed to feel peaceful, luxurious, and relaxing.

Blankets are provided in the gazebo for cooler evenings outdoors.

The greenhouse and garden areas are not accessible to guests.

This is our personal retirement home — not a standard investment property.

Over the past 7 years, we have invested more than $300,000 renovating and improving the property to create a beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable home for ourselves, our family, and our guests.
We genuinely care about the guest experience and take pride in maintaining the property to a very high standard both inside and out.

This property is best suited for respectful guests who appreciate luxury accommodations, peaceful surroundings, cleanliness, and thoughtful hosting.

Important Features and Limitations
• No AC. The lower suite remains naturally cooler and does not require AC.
• There is no BBQ provided due to past misuse and cleaning constraints.
• The greenhouse is off limits.

Children
• This home is not childproofed and is only suitable for children aged 8 and older.
• There are no toys and games on the property.
• Home is not childproofed (no cabinet locks, etc.)

Occupancy
• Only registered guests are permitted on the property unless pre-approved by Host.
• Max occupancy is 6 guests.

This home is not suited for high-traffic gatherings, excessive noise, or party-style bookings.

Parking
Parking is available on the designated side of the driveway and accommodates:
• 2 midsize vehicles parked tandem OR
• 1 larger truck/SUV
Street parking directly in front of the home is not permitted due to road safety and visibility.

Check-In & Property Care
To ensure a smooth and comfortable stay, guests are personally greeted at check-in and provided with a walkthrough of the home and amenities.
• Check-in: 3:00 PM or later
• Standard checkout: 11:00 AM
• Late checkout (up to 12:00 PM) may sometimes be arranged depending on cleaning schedules and upcoming bookings
• Guests must provide ETA on arrival day
The walkthrough helps guests become familiar with the property and helps prevent accidental damage so everyone can enjoy the home comfortably.
Because of the size of the property and level of care involved, the home typically requires approximately 7 hours of cleaning and preparation between guests.

A. read the listing and house rules and
B. agree to the home layout and that this setup works for your group (2 luxury suites with 2 separate entrances). The units are like this only because we keep the in-law suite for ourselves and rent out the 2BR suite. If the 2BR suite is available, it is because our tenants are moving. While we find suitable tenants for the 2BR, we are short-terming it out. It is rare for the 2BR suite to ever be on this platform as it is always rented. Thank you for your understanding.
