This park while small is very beautiful and the perfect spot for a picnic, swim, or just relaxing. There are stairs that lead you down to the water during low tide but be sure to get out before water levels rise. The park offers free parking, washrooms, a playground and is pet friendly.

3 Generations at The Nest

What a beautiful property this was! The cottage was fully stocked from the kitchen to the bbq, beach to the firepit, and washroom amenities to indoor games (for rainy days) - nearly everything was provided. To have 3 generations enjoy themselves, every day on this property was so special. The private beach was visited frequently and during low tide the kids had fun following hermit crabs and collecting snails and sea shells. We struggled with the HVAC which malfunctioned on our first night there even with all the reset instructions. However, once we were able to connect with the property manager, and the technician made it to site they corrected the malfunction quickly. The island hospitality along with the beautiful landscape of PEI makes us excited for our next visit. My family cannot recommend this property enough. Thanks for sharing it.

Idyllic and peaceful

We were treated to a gorgeous place, it was even better than advertised. The house and the grounds were beautiful, and the view of the water with the changing tides and osprey unparalleled. We really enjoyed being able to cook meals, relax, fly a kite, hit some balls on the green. The teens loved staying in the bunkie and having their own space. The location was perfect for heading out on excursions, as well as decent runs to Victoria and back. Our family loved staying at the “Nest”, thank you so much for the pleasure of experiencing PEI this way.

Amazing !

Such a great spot for a family vacation. We enjoyed the house and making great meals. We brought a volleyball net and croquet set and enjoyed the field out front. Victoria by the sea is a sweet little town. It’s a bit of a drive to a nice sandy beach but driving in PEI is a pleasure.

Wonderful!

It’s a bit remote in all the right ways. We haven’t relaxed this thoroughly in years. The location and house are so peaceful and built for comfort. Everything is high quality and tasteful. The house is well equipped, so we were able to find kitchenware as if we were home. Such a special find.

Perfect location for large family vacation!

The "Nest" literally had everything going for it for the gathering of our extended family of ten, ages 6 to 73! The main house is modern, spacious, very thoughtfully designed and laid out, and nicely appointed. The four bedrooms easily sleep eight. In addition to the generous common areas, a separate TV room, basement rec room with ping pong table, and a sunroom provide ample opportunities to "spread out". The kitchen is a nice size and very well supplied/equipped. Bathrooms are modern with great water pressure. The lovely little bunkie provides that extra space for the young ones - but can accommodate a family of 4 easily - although no shower there. Speaking of showers, the outdoor shower with hot water and a privacy door is a super convenient amenity - and a great way to wash the red sand off your feet after a day on the beach. And speaking of the beach, it is really wonderful. A long private stretch of sand easily accessible from the property – perfectly swimmable in high tide - and in low tide, you can literally walk out half a kilometer or more – “hunting” for crabs, starfish, and shells. The water is shockingly warm – I don’t mean for the northern Atlantic, I mean Caribbean warm – that’s the advantage of being on the Northumberland Straight side! The property around the house is expansive and well maintained. Bring your golf clubs – we had several family tournaments driving off the mini tees towards the three-hole green. The region round the house is rural of course but Victoria By the Sea, a tiny picturesque (and very popular) seaside town a 20 minute bike ride away, offers fabulous coffee/pastries, three or four restaurants (with more than lobster rolls on the menu!), and the usual touristy souvenir and arts and crafts shops. There is really no downside to mention. The property management company is reasonably responsive although keep in mind you won’t get anywhere near the personal touch and attentive hospitality you might be used to from an owner-run place. So all in all, highly recommended jewel of an oceanfront PEI property!

Paradise in Paradise

The house was a wonderful place to stay. The owners paid a lot of attention to detail when they built it and it was geougous. The location to the strait can't be beat as it was a short walk across the lawn to warm water and fun. Our family had a wonderful time and greatly enjoyed this little gem.
