“I wish I could like this place more but there were a few things which would make me reconsider booking if I had known upfront. Firstly, the driveway is a pain but can deal with it if known upfront, front desk was very accommodating taking our luggage up the hill to our van. Room 103 was a family room but directly above the reception and bar, so expect loud tuk tuks and music from the bar until about 11.30pm. Overall it was 3/5 - not bad, not amazing.”

“Habitacio molt gran amb fantastiques vistes, molt ben equipada i neta. El personal molt atent i eficient. L'esmorzar excelent. Bona ubicacio i molta tranquilitat, sobretot a la piscina.

“a lovely boutique hotel with amazing staff & good breakfast”

“Utterly fabulous. We were hesitant about booking due to the high price point; but it was worth every penny. The staff are wonderful, so caring and hospitable - nothing is too much trouble. The views take your breath away, the food was the best we had in Sri Lanka. We really did not want to leave ”

“Perfect spot about 350 metres from the main street of Ella. The walk home up a hill was always fun at the end of the day, but worth it as the street plops you out near Cafe Chill (plus most of the city is hilly). Basic amenities with a great shower and insane views over the city and of Ella Rock 😍”

“We stayed 4 nights at Walaa Kulu, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The villa is truly luxurious, beautifully furnished, and designed to take full advantage of the stunning panoramic views that surround it. Every room offers a breathtaking outlook — the kind that photos simply cannot capture. The heated pool overlooking the lush green hills was an absolute highlight, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing evening swim even when the air cooled down. What really made our stay unforgettable was...

“Très belle chambre et salle de bain. Séjour conforme à nos attentes”

“I booked and paid for my room in advance. I booked a Deluxe Double with Balcony and breakfast. When I arrived, they didn't know about my booking. My room was obviously already taken but they were not honest about that. I was put into another room with no balcony and told that 'the price does not include breakfast'. After a couple of email exchanges with me providing proof of my 'confirmed' booking, he agreed to include breakfast (but he did not change my room). My 'balcony' was the shared area...
