Great location to Purina Farms

If you want a tiny house experience while attending a dog show at Purina Farms, Hound Haus is the place. 7-10 min from Purina, quiet clean place to stay.

Super cute and cozy

Very cute and cozy. Everything you need for a short or long stay. We loved drinking our morning coffee out on the bedroom balcony. Such a pretty location as well.

Awesome little house

We have stayed at this tiny home four times now and love it just as much as we have the very first time. We love the proximity to Purina for our dog agility events, and the full kitchen. It is definitely a tiny home, but it has everything you would need to feel comfortable to rest your head between busy days of dog events. :p Thanks for another lovely stay! We plan to stay again next year!

Convenient and adorable

Hound Haus was perfect for me and my show dogs for our week at Purina Farms. The haus is adorable, and had everything I needed, was close to the grocery, Purina and both Washington and Pacific for dinners out with friends. The other two houses on the property were fellow dog people, so that was nice as well. It was just so easy and comfortable, and despite the extreme temperatures a perfect retreat after the day’s activities. Thank you!!!

Very small with steep stairway. BR downstairs

The property is lovely, but best for one younger person. The yard for the dogs is great, with lots of room to run. However, we are older and found the steep stairs challenging. With the only bathroom downstairs, we did not believe it would be safe for us long term. The management team was wonderful! They did their best to find us something else and were a joy to work with. I would take a look at Missouri Haus listings again, anytime I was in that area. I have found that the third party managers are at least as important as the property itself! Nat and Tyann get five plus stars.

We liked the coziness of the tiny house and it still had what we needed. The only thing we didn't like was the ac window units being loud. It was hot so they needed to run the whole time. They did work fine, just loud. Overall, decent place to stay for the weekend.

This was our 5th stay at Hound Haus and we loved it just as much as the last. The proximity to Purina Farms makes it convenient for agility trials and the price is worth it for having your own space. The full refrigerator and stovetop make it easy to make our own meals, but also the location is close to restaurants for eating out too. The place is air conditioned well so it is very comfortable even in the hot Missouri summers. This is one of the three homes on the property (Villa Ridge) with lots of outdoor space. The area is peaceful, private, and feels very safe. One morning it was so peaceful we watched some deer frolic through the front yard. Highly recommend staying here.

Lovely Stay At Hound Haus

I highly recommend the Hound Haus.A beautiful tiny home, with one bedroom upstairs with a nice size first floor living area with kitchen and bath. The home is fully stocked with 'whatever your needs are'.Deep kitchen sink and huge refrigerator , loved the big freezer too. I stayed 8 full nights and was showing at nearby Purina farms (3 miles away). So convenient to the showgrounds, with gas stations and a Burger King near by for the morning drive into the dog show site.I have 2 large dogs and their crates fit comfortably in the living area. The bedroom was a comfortable size with the 'best mattress ' ever ! The patio was enjoyable with a nice country view. The bathroom has a full size shower and a spacious vanity and sink.Two TV's too.

Perfect little spot

Hound Haus as a perfect little spot to feel like you’re having a getaway. I was showing my dog at Purina Farms, so I chose to stay in Villa Ridge. Even though the house is close to the conveniences of the city, it feels like you’re staying at a country house. The grounds are immaculately kept, and there’s enough green space between the other houses on the property for it to feel private. There was enough space to take a good walk with my dog, and at night, so many stars to gaze at from the balcony. The house itself though small, is homey and well appointed and thoughtfully decorated: tiny but tidy. Like all Missouri Haus properties, it was spotless when I arrived, with crisp, white linens on the bed, and thick, fluffy towels. The online guidebook prepared me for the space so that I knew how it was laid out ( bedroom upstairs, everything else downstairs) and what I would need to pack. I’m excited to stay again!

Third time staying!

This was our third time staying at Missouri Haus' Hound Haus in Villa Ridge. As it is every year, this stay was great. My dogs love the lofted bedroom because they get to look out the balcony and watch all the people and animals outside. My one dog loves the air conditioning and the other loves to snuggle on the couch. We loved the full sized refrigerator to keep all our food for the 5ish days we stayed. The kitchen is stocked with all cooking supplies which makes it really easy to stay in and cook. We ordered take out one night from a local place and that was awesome. The TVs on both floors was nice to watch any of the streaming services. I could go on and on. We love this location for our dog event at Purina Farms because it is less than a 10 minute drive away. We hope to book again for next year. Thanks Missouri Haus!

Cute Little Place

Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our stay. The home is tiny but very cute. A few things that could be improved: (1) The interior had a bit of a mildew smell upon arrival, but we were able to correct this with some fragrant candles. (2) The location was very buggy, and this was likely the cause of the interior being a bit buggy. In particular, tiny flying moths seemed to be additional guests inside the home. This might also be attributable to the time of year (September). (3) The underside/bottom of the tub/shower insert seemed like it had collapsed and was very loose and squishy under our feet when taking a shower. Other than these few issues, the home was perfect for our stay, and we would probably book it again.

Great location for events at Purina Farms

The Hound Haus is FANTASTIC. This was our second time staying here since we loved it so much in 2019. The space is tiny, but it has everything you could want. We stayed here while trialing for agility with our two Australian Shepherds at Purina Farms. It was the perfect location, only about 6-8minutes away, one exit off the highway from Purina. The place is clean, updated, and comfortable. There are large TVs with streaming capabilities upstairs and downstairs. Wifi was strong and effective to stream on personal devices as well. The bed was super comfortable and the pillows were high quality (better than what we even have at home!). The local guidebook was helpful to finding local places to eat and attractions as well. Nat and Tyann were very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay the best it could be.

Cozy house peaceful and quiet.

We are traveling with a small yorkie that dislikes loud hotels. This cozy tiny house has great amenities and it’s very clean. Perfect to feel refreshed and ready for the next adventure. The guidebooks provides is very useful.

We loved our stay at this tiny house!! The property was so clean and comfy. They utilized the small space so well and there’s everything you need. We had our dog with us and they even had dog bowls, treats, and toys! The location is amazing and so close to Washington and all the wineries and cute shops! Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect tiny house

Traveled to visit family but wanted my own space to escape to every night. This place was perfect. Just enough space for a lone traveler. Would also work for a couple, although the loft had low ceilings so anybody with any height needs to be careful. Steps to loft are steep and narrow, but the bed/bedding was top notch. I stayed in July and the window AC units easily kept up/kept the place super cool. Really the only issue I had was there were a bunch of flies in the bathroom and kitchen that were annoying. Everything else was perfect and the owners checked in with me by text as soon as I got there and responded very quickly to any question or concern I had.

Everything You Need

This property was one of the best equipped vacation rentals that we have ever stayed in. Everything was new and matching. You can tell the owners took pride in their business and were not just trying to earn a few bucks off a Tiny Home that happened to be on their property. It was very clean and the ultimate test: the mattress was in good shape and comfortable to sleep on. High Marks for Hound Haus. We would definitely return.

Last weekend in April

Great little place, perfect for a couple. Hot water runs out quickly; a more energy efficient shower head might help with that. We forgot oil for cooking but not to worry! The pans were so good Nome was needed!
