Great place to relax and feel totally comfortable. The property was well-kept inside and out and meticulous with cleanliness and order. Would definitely recommend, especially, if you’re looking for a pet friendly place. The host was welcoming and very responsive when it came to communication before, during, and after the stay. The Octopus Cottage was the perfect spot for a cozy getaway! Donna has thought of quite literally everything, the house is stocked from top to bottom. While we did not need anything during our stay, we knew we could always ask for anything - her communication was phenomenal the whole time. The location is perfect, just a few minutes away from Cape May and tons of breweries and restaurants. We had a wonderful time and hope to return!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Octopus Cottage! We booked last minute after issues with a previous listing, and the host was quick to respond and made everything so easy. The house was spotless, adorably decorated, and even came with a thoughtful little welcome package that made us feel right at home. Every detail was charming and comfortable, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax.We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again. Highly recommend the Octopus Cottage!

Lovely Hosts, Private Patio, and One Happy Dog

We had a wonderful stay at this charming, quaint cottage on the northern shore of Cape May. Our dog Koda especially loved his morning beach runs, chasing seagulls and enjoying the wide-open space. The outdoor patio was a true highlight-private, peaceful, and beautifully designed with a hot tub, firepit and lush garden, all securely fenced, which gave us peace of mind with Koda roaming freely. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the quiet neighborhood made for a relaxing retreat. Downtown Cape May was just a 20 minute drive away, making it easy to enjoy the best of both worlds. Highly recommend for a serene getaway with your pup!

Octopus House

We came for a winter getaway after the holidays and it was lovely. It is indeed the octopus house and the theme is carried through throughout the house. The home was clean, well stocked, had all the kitchen supplies we needed for a short stay, and the host was incredibly responsive. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Relaxing quick get away

Wanted to go somewhere close for my one day off and bring my dog. Cottage is absolutely gorgeous and sparkling clean. Close to the beach to go for a walk and there were places to eat within walking distance (but I did not try them). Muffins were delicious- you should sell them! Can’t wait until I can book a longer stay. Thank you!!

A slice of Paradise

Our weekend stay at The Octopus Cottage was beyond fantastic! Donna, our host was so helpful, communicative, and thoughtful. The cottage is decorated for maximum comfort and relaxation. The home was clean, well stocked with necessities, and the updates and decor made it feel like we were truly on vacation. Our hosts made sure that we were greeted with fresh pasties and a handwritten note, which was such a nice touch! Would highly recommend this property for a Cape May/Villas getaway!

Delightful and Cozy Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Octopus Cottage! The fenced in yard was perfect for relaxing outside with our pup. The cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished. The mattress, pillows and linens were top notch, very comfortable. The location is perfect, with plenty to see and do nearby. We are already planning a return visit!

Beautiful property

Our stay at Octopus Cottage was short but sweet. Although it's a tiny house, the layout and design were beautiful, clean, and inviting. The landscaping made us feel like we were truly on vacation. Every single amenity was carefully considered to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. From the blueberry muffins upon arrival to the prompt responses, Donna is an amazing host. Most of all, I want to thank Donna for letting us bring our fur-son. We don’t feel complete on vacation unless he is with us. Most places have size restrictions or don’t allow dogs on the furniture, but Donna even supplies a blanket for them to lay on. Most beaches also don’t allow dogs, but the beach this property is on does, so we were able to create wonderful memories with him. The outdoor shower was super helpful too. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful little house!

So happy my family got to stay here, thank you so much for letting us bring our fuzzy friend. This place is truly a 5 star place. You have everything you need and absolutely loved Cape May. The renting on Vrbo was a little confusing nothing to do with the owner or property, but checking out I was charged 1,000$ extra I guess for incidentals?? I guess I didn’t read correctly about that somewhere which gave me an over draft paying for the place. So just make sure you read the fine print somewhere for that hopefully I can get back. But other than that the place is an absolute gem, the furnishings and quality of everything is top notch great style and even enjoying my octopus hat! Would love to come back. Donna is absolutely amazing and super friendly, thank you for the delicious muffins and quick replies! Take care!
