I really wanted this to be a very positive review. There were many benefits at this hotel. Room was modern, clean, spacious and bright. Even facing the city, we could see the ocean. Front Beach and the boardwalk was one block away. Restaurants, cafes and bars were along the main road. Close drive to ferries. Breakfast was..OK. Not too vegetarian friendly but the egg-station was great. Coffee was terrible.
We had an incident in our room which caused me to give this hotel a 3-star rating. On the second afternoon, we came back and discovered a giant cockroach in our room (7th floor). My son killed it and we called housekeeping to spray the bathroom. Over the next 30 minutes, we killed another 5-6 baby cockroaches. Awful! They offered to move us to a different room. We packed up our stuff, got to the room and the front door had issues! We waited for them to fix but had to leave to keep our dinner plans. We rerurned at 10:30pm, only to be told we had to move rooms AGAIN because they couldn't fix door issue.
I appreciate that they tried to remedy the situation but I may be inclined to try a different hotel next time.
