This property is beautiful, quiet, and serene. The house is very spacious, with all the mod cons supplied. The showers are powerful with ample hot water. This is always a focal point in my travels. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied with all meal prep items, including dishes, bowls, mixers, utensils,…There is a Keurig in the master bedroom, and a great coffee maker in the kitchen. Our pups loved the property. This is a very pet friendly place.

Perfect for a Family Get Away

Really enjoyed this property. We were in Waco for a volleyball tournament with our family and a teammates family. This was a beautiful property and I wish we had more time to enjoy it. Would definitely book again when we have more time to enjoy the beautiful house and surrounding yard, porches, and garden. Hosts were great to work with, easy to get in touch with, and understanding of our needs.

Baylor Graduation Base

The home was beautiful, well furnished, and in a great countryside setting while enjoying quick access to town and Baylor University. We had our entire family in from near and far to experience our youngest graduating from Baylor. This home is perfect to celebrate a graduation and relax art the same time. Well done!

Just Right in Waco

I visited this property earlier this year when one of our kids rented it for their family, so I knew what I was getting with this VRBO rental -- a very good thing! My two grown daughters and I chose this spot for our springtime girls' weekend and had a blast. PROS - the property is beautiful and nicely planned out for a very pleasant stay; the choice to not leave the property during one's trip would not be a bad one. CONS - (1) the sectional sofa was not only really dirty (maybe allowing dogs isn't such a great idea), but it is also super uncomfortable. We didn't use it; watched TV in the master bedroom. The sofa alone caused the cleanliness rating of only 4 stars. (2) I would recommend higher quality sheets; Hilton Hotels sells beautiful ones that would be more fitting for this fine country home. (3) Not really an issue, but we were disappointed to not see the raised garden beds in working condition. If it's too much to maintain (perfectly reasonable), clean those beds out and lay down a bunch of perennial flower seeds and it'll be gorgeous in no time. For all the words, don't be mistaken -- this place is still the one to head to when you want a nice, quiet long weekend away in the Waco area. We'll be back and are looking forward to those new, comfy sofas.

Lovely Home Away From Home

We booked this house as part of a family vacation to Waco in conjunction with a kid's birthday. It was an awesome, quiet place to stay where the kids (we have four) could run around outside and play. Clearly, the inside was well decorated in all things Magnolia and was very inviting and cozy. We enjoyed playing board/card games at the large dining table in the evenings. The home is conveniently located about 15 minutes from the Silos and about 5-10 minutes from other great Waco attractions to include Brazos Bluff Ranch (horseback riding) and Cameron Park Zoo. We will definitely book this home again if/when we ever return to Waco!

Wonderful stay!

This is the perfect place if you want a beautiful, well maintained home in a private area. Great for family and dogs. The Homestead Heritage area provides great coffee and amazing breakfast close by. Definitely recommend!

A must stay!

What a beautiful home! The house was perfect for our group number. There was plenty of space for everyone. Even our dogs had a great time in the huge yard! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We needed more time to be able to enjoy the whole house. It was really clean and well kept. We would definitely stay again!

Great Property; Poor Property Management

Summary: Beautiful property that is poorly managed. 5-star place to stay. 1-star property manager. The property is excellent. Very well-done remodel of an older home with the addition of beautiful (and large) master bedroom area. Was fortunate to meet the previous owner of the property and the heard interesting tale about the remodel. Great point about the property was the car port (that matches the style of the house). It was much needed when we experienced tennis ball size hail and prevented damage to our truck. My concern was the management of the property. It is apparent the property manager is not looking after the property. We had to clean the house when we arrived. Dirt on floors, substantial amount of hair on the bed sheets, hair in the shower, and bugs throughout the house (yes, I know, it is the country but there is a limit). Bottom line, there was no housekeeping, in my mind, before we arrived. Additionally, there were maintenance issues: loose bedroom doorknob, no hot water for kitchen sink, main area thermostat issues, and HVAC needs maintenance. Communication was lacking. Property management reliant on a web-based system. No direct text or emergency phone number provided. During a storm when we need info, they would not respond because they had no power. They need a direct phone number for emergencies such as power outages. Housekeeping fee is out of range for what they expect the renter to do (clean) before departing the property.
