Exceptional Stay for a Large FamilyThis house is relatively new, meticulously clean, and perfectly suited for our large party of nine. We were thoroughly satisfied with the stay and would highly recommend it.Highlights.Spectacular ocean and mountain views are the biggest draw..Ideal for families: Includes dedicated bunk beds for children..First-floor unit has its own kitchen and in-unit washer/dryer..Located in a gated community, ensuring a safe and secure feeling..Amenities are well-equipped and in great condition.Responsive management company; the property guide was very helpful..The neighborhood is very calm and quiet, offering a great balance after our first few nights in Waikiki Beach.Minor Issues.The propane grill was empty upon arrival, but the management brought a new tank the next day. .The only negative was a non-working garage remote, and the maintenance staff incorrectly suggested we had broken it.Overall, a highly recommended and satisfying experience for a peaceful, comfortable family trip.

Everything was as advertised. The back yard was a wonderful oasis away from the hustle and bustle. The beds were comfortable and it was so nice to have so many bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed. I just wanted to say Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful rental. It was everything we needed and more! Our family recently lost our patriarch (father in law) and my mother in law wanted this trip for the family to come together and to heal… it was healing and your home served as a beautiful sanctuary for us. If you ever want to venture to Utah and would like to trade time with a rental in the future, we have a beautiful cottage in the heart of Bryce Canyon. We would love to host you.

Stunning views and comfortable accommodations

Our trip to Hawaii was nothing short of amazing and our VRBO played a huge factor. Although extremely far from most everything, the house was beautiful the views were stunning, and well equipped. Coming home in the evenings we knew we were in a safe gated community and felt comfortable coming and going at any hour. Highly recommend the stay if you have a car

Beautiful and peaceful stay with a great yard

I absolutely loved our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer, but this was just a mini stay-cation to celebrate my birthday. House was beyond expectations. Location was perfect. Supposedly, it was a weekend of downpours and floods across the rest of the island, but it only lightly rained a few times for us. The lawn games and ping-pong table were a blast! Would 100% recommend.

Gorgeous View

The valley is beautiful. There was nothing better than sitting out on the back patio in the morning & evening. The neighborhood was quiet, except on 1 morning where the construction workers were playing a radio very loud. The community pool wasn't open yet, so that was disappointing, but we were able to find a beach about 10mins away that wasn't too busy, had a real restroom, & parking was decent. The undertow was a strong, so the kids had to be very diligent, but they had a lot of fun too. I recommend this community for a few couples with young children or just a group of friends. The 3 bedrooms & living room pull out couch were good for teens & adults. The "kid's room" with a tiny bunk bed & super skinny futon would only be suitable for small kids (my Dad slept on the futon, but he's a very small man), so I wouldn't recommend more than a few single folks or a few couples to double up in the other rooms. The valley is nearly 45-60mins out of Honolulu, so if folks are looking for some nightlife, this would not be the area. If you are just looking for time together & being relaxed, then the valley is definitely right up your alley. It was a good overall stay.

Beautiful Home

For those wishing to spend their vacation time in Waianae, this home is ideal! It has a great layout in a beautiful and picturesque gated community setting and met all of our housing needs. Although it advertises a pool (for the community), there is not one - yet. If you plan to drive often toward Honolulu or the North Shore, prepare for a lengthy drive. Between the home and where the H1 freeway begins it is highway with speeds of 30-35 mph. Despite those annoyances, we gave the home a 5 star rating, as it is truly lovely.

The house was just as pictured with all the amenities, including beach gear (ie: chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, ice chests, and beach towels). The house was a little away from a lot of the tourist locations, but worth the drive for the beauty and privacy of it's location.

A beautiful home but don’t like the location

The home is beautiful, clean and really does sleep 10 with the pullout couch. The neighborhood is beautiful but getting here is not a pleasant drive. We drove through many homeless camps and the smell was VERy strong! I would never use any of the beaches near by due to the homeless people living on the beach. I would be concerned for a families safety. The neighbors warned us to not go outside of the gates of the neighborhood after dark - very bad things happen! So we had to be back at dark each night. The amenities listed claim a pool and hot tub but you have to read the fine print to learn that is not yet open. That part was very disappointing to learn after we arrived! The location is NOT near North Shore. The only way to drive there is to go back toward Honolulu and drive across - about an hour and 30 min drive depending on the time of day! Learning that was very disappointing.

Mākaha House

The house was perfect for 6 adults and 4 keiki. Plenty of room and a great backyard. Great sunset every evening. Mahalo to the staff who immediately responded to questions. Only issue was the internet went out but came out on Easter to fix it.

Amazing property!!

This place is exactly what it looks like in the pictures if not better!! They put very nice furniture in this place with such nice decor from every bedroom to each living room!! This place has everything you will need to be comfortable!! I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone and this would be my go to place in the future.. it is a little ways out but if you don’t mind being away from the city, this is perfect!! There is areas of homeless along the way to the house but not near and they do not bother you at all!! This is a brand new development and very safe with stunning views!! Definitely recommend to anyone!!
